This is so spot on, why I keep going to Harry Potter conventions even though my fandom at the moment is not Harry Potter -- it's for the people. It's my once-a-year gathering of people who understand me in the most unique of ways, and with whom I connect with even though we have all sorts of different backgrounds. Fandom is a celebration of humanity.

Fandom is a celebration of humanity.

Exactly this. I genuinely feel for the people who don't understand this, because they are missing out on so much joy.

All of this, so much.

And I think everyone should come back to LJ, this is the best place to connect.

Miss you tons, Sam. ♥ x1013

Me too. I love LJ so much, I could never imagine it not being in my life.

Miss you so much. One day, me + you = actually walking in Memphis, yes?

So sweet!

Ironically none of the London crowd responded lastnight because we were at Margi's flailing our fangirl brains out and dramatically reading Erin M Blair fic to each other!!

I went through all my stuff when I was in Ireland last weekend & I even found a card I wrote you the day the XF2 forehead!sex pics were released! Oh and the scrapbook from London - OMFG!

I think what I'm treasuring lately is that even though fandom has a slightly different place in my life these days, 99% of the people whom I utterly love to death came to me throughout these daft, magical, wonderful shows and I don't think - or I certainly hope - there will come a day when it isn't a joy to sit in a room full of people holding hands and shouting at a bee that, even after 13 years, we still hope won't appear!

xx

What have I told you about having fun without me? ;)

Seriously, glad you all had a good night. I absolutely believe one day, I will watch FTF for the 480349th time and the bee actually won't come. And then I'll know I've finally died and gone to Heaven. ;)

(I want that card still!!)
