What do you mean, they don't work with the Uni computers? Do you plug them in correctly? ;) It's just I remember connecting my headphones to my PC and they weren't working, turned out I plugged in the wrong socket as there are three to choose from. One at the bottom is for the microphone, the top one is for the sound and the one between them is to confuse the hell out of people. :D

I'd say apply anyway. You seem to be really enthusiastic about this job, so you never know, maybe they need people exactly like you!

Lol, yes, I plugged them into the socket that had the picture of headphones by it, then I tried the microphone one just in case. I think uni have done something to mute the sound so no-one can play anything and annoy everyone else. I'm not sure if it's everywhere, I might try a different computer room tomorrow and see if they work there. Last time I usewd headphones here was over the summer, and it worked then, so who knows?

Hmm, yeah, they could have removed the sound card or something. :/ Try the same computer you've used before, maybe it's really just a bingo game with your uni computers. :D

Apply. You have nothing to lose. It'll give you application filling in experience. Big up your ethical commitment to Oxfam's causes. I think they're probably the sort of people who care about that kind of thing a lot.

Yeah, maybe. I just feel a little embarassed applying for a job I know I can't do, but I guess if I do it with enough flair I'll get credit for trying?

LOLOL, I know. The thing is, half my collective friendship circle persauded me to join, then I talked the other half into it. But don't worry, we use Facebook for our real organisation of get togethers!!!11!!
