Challenge #12 Tattoos
It was all Jack’s idea. Daniel argued against it but was overruled by his teammates. Soon they talked him into drawing up ideas on napkins; after several trial and errors, he came up with two they all liked. They drew straws to see which would be the final choice. Now they had to decide where they would put it; another grouping of straws died. Since all the important decisions were made, they left to follow through with the plan.
Janet woke up the next morning; she had fallen asleep waiting on Sam to return from a night out with the guys. Walking downstairs, she found her asleep on the couch. Noticing a bandage peeking out from under Sam’s waistband she peeled it back enough to see the new tattoo on her partner’s hip.
Sam awoke feeling as if she were still drunk; she glanced around the room until her eyes landed on Janet sitting in the chair next to her an odd look on her face.
“Morning,” grumbled Sam.
Janet spared the niceties, “Why is there a tattoo of Thor on your hip?”
Sam groaned…it wasn’t a dream then; covering her head with a cushion she mumbled, “All Jack’s fault.”

Challenge #54 Hyperactivity
Sam hated feeling like this. She was way past tired…going straight into hyperactive mode, she fought off exhaustion by finding yet another project to begin. Janet was visiting relatives; she’d been gone two days. During those two days, Sam hadn’t slept a wink.
Her lab was nice and neat because she’d rearranged everything twice. All her gizmos, as Jack called them, now had labels telling what it did and where it came from.
Bent over another jumble of parts she heard footsteps enter her lab. Looking up at the sound, she smiled.
“You’re back,” she said as Janet came to stand beside her.
“Uh huh…we really need to work on your sleeping habits for when I’m away; Daniel told me you’ve been up for two days,” Janet scolded her.
Sam blushed, “I can’t help it.”
Janet just smiled, “Come on let’s go home…I missed my bed.”
“Janet…I’m to hyper to sleep, let me finish with this and I’ll be home soon,” whined Sam.
“Who said anything about sleep,” Janet commented and grinned as she walked out the door.
Sam quickly threw the parts in a box and rushed to follow her partner. There were other ways to burn off energy.

Challenge #34 Heatwave
It had to be the hottest day on record for Colorado Springs; and what was Sam doing…fishing. Not doing something inside where it was nice and cool…nope, she was outside in the heat because Jack invited them to the cabin so Cassie could experience the joy of fishing. Although it looked as if the girl was having more fun playing in the water than trying to catch something from it.
Sam heard a door shut, turning she watched as Janet strolled down to the water’s edge, wearing a short robe and a towel draped across her shoulders. Laying the towel down she removed the robe to reveal a very tiny blue bikini, one that left little room for imagination. Sam’s jaw dropped. ‘Whoa…that’s new,’ she thought.
From the chair beside her Sam heard a low wolf whistle, she turned to see Jack peering over his shades at the doctor.
“Damn Carter…you are one very lucky woman,” he remarked, grinning at his second.
“Yep…I sure am. Now eyes forward Sir, I wouldn’t want to have to hurt you for gawking at my girl,” Sam told him grinning.
“Yes m’am,” he replied pushing his shades back up and casting his fishing rod.
