They were sitting on her porch, drinking Heineken and watching the sun set. He wasn't in a hurry for an answer to his question; he'd learned how to wait. God, had he learned. He touched the nape of her neck and watched her eyes close. She tilted her head against his caress and said, "Okay."
"Hit me," he said.
"In Antarctica, racing Anubis, in a tiny cargo ship... I was sure we would die then."
"Then what happened?" he asked, though he already knew.
"Then... I looked down and saw 100,000 airplanes coming to our rescue."
She kissed her hero.

Challenge #62 Blue Jello
Jack always knew.
In times of crisis, when they were called unexpectedly to the briefing room for some Tok'ra news brief or Asgard powwow, Jack always knew when they had caught Sam Carter eating blue Jell-O. It was written all over her face - literally. Her lips and teeth always had that tell-tale blue tint. It was amusing, watching her take a drink of water and try to subtly swish the water in her mouth to wash the stains away.
Still, no matter how he tried, he never could figure out why there were always blue smudges on Fraiser's neck.

Janet shook her head and lowered her stethoscope. "I can't explain it. You are Samantha Carter, just... fifteen years old."
Sam groaned. "Wonderful. Like this age wasn't hell the first time..."
Janet squeezed Sam's shoulder. "Now, now... I'm sure you have some fond memories of being fifteen."
"Well," Sam said, a smile rising on her cheeks. "There is one..." She leaned forward and slid her hands under Janet's lab jacket. She pressed her lips to Janet's ear and whispered, "I lost my virginity when I was fifteen. Want to head into your office and see if history will repeat itself...?"

Challenge #65 The Elements
Sam reclines in the bubble bath and watches her feet surface at the other end of the tub. Her hair is wet and slicked back, her skin shining in the normally harsh light of the bathroom. The day had been excruciatingly hot and her skin was red, burnt. Dry earth was caked in every crevasse of her body and she was eager to slough it all off in her bath.
Janet kneels behind the tub and trails her fingers through the film of water on Sam's upper chest. She blows softly in Sam's ear... and a brand-new fire starts burning.

The door opens and she turns her back to them, hides her face in her hands. They turn her, hold her down as he returns with another serving. "No," she gasps. "N-no more..."
They hold her nose and force her mouth open, pouring the blood of Sokar down her throat. She tries to cough it up, but the deluge continues. It's swallow or drown. They cover her mouth and she drinks it all, tears coursing down her cheeks.
Thought flooded with memories both real and imagined, the drink is tainting her.
She can barely even remember her name is... S-Sarter...?

Challenge #63 Hallucinations
They found her broken.
They released her from her prison and brought her back to the SGC, ignorant of the damage that had been done. Janet was forced to tell them the awful truth; Sam's brain had been permanently damaged by the drug. "We'll find a way to fix her," Janet smiles, keeping positive. "We always do."
In the middle of the town square, as the Jaffa forces her head onto the chopping block, Sam smiles.
SG-1 had found her broken, but they had found her. She was at the SGC. Janet was working on a cure.
The executioner swung.

Challenge #67 Water
In her years at the SGC, Sam had been tortured. She thought she knew the meaning of the word. Whips and fists and pain sticks that made her eyes flash. But she was finally done in by something so simple, she hated herself for it.
When they returned to her cell, she was crouched naked in the center of the room. The guard stood before her and she looked up at him.
"Water," she gasped.
"Will you tell us what we wish to know?"
"Yes. Everything. Just... please. Water."
She bowed her head, too dry to even shed a tear.
