Title: The Arts (Ch. 1)
Author: samberrie
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: George/Ringo
Timeframe: 1957, but thinking more 1959-ish in the looks department.
Warnings: Gettin’ that AU vibe, unnecessarily long chapters, language - barely, eventual under-aged boy sex, and angst. Nothing too awful but yeah, there’s yer warning.
Summary:. Richard Starkey has recently been hired ( Read more... )

You are making my heart so glad with this!!! I was so squee-ishly excited when I saw an update!!! And I was right along in the moment with Richard as he went through being captivated, then acknowledging his attraction, craving to know George's name and age, arguing with himself once he found out how young George was! I have not read Lolita but I adore that term faunlet, I'll have to remember and use it sometimes. Oh, if Richard gets with George, maybe it will mean nice safe places for him and not meeting strangers in risky encounters, dirty places---shades of Brian there. I wonder how much of Brian's life is Richard aware of? And having John work there as well! John following George around, casually getting around to asking his age, all for Richard's benefit!!!!! I just melted!!!! But at least John didn't expose and embarrass Richard for his feelings in front of George. I get so excited when I can look forward to love/sex scenes when I really care about the characters, and I already care about the way you've written and ( ... )

Aw gosh thanks so much. If the first chapter already excites you so much, I feel like I'm overachieving already haha.
Oh man, you definitely should read Lolita. It's very beautiful with it's strange philosophy and premise. It's a really captivating read. I actually just started out reading it as a joke with friends - like ha ha I'm reading a book about a pedophile aren't I cool - but the joke was on me when I loved it. Plus you'll learn all sorts of other weird terms like faunlet, your vocabulary will soar!
Ah yes, I love platonic John/Ringo so the only solution was to have John work there as well so I wouldn't have to go out of my way to figure out how to throw some in here. I'm glad you think it was a nice addition :)

Don't make me blush, eep. It'll be my pleasure writing this story, I'm sure. I've been wanting to write a story solely based around George and Ringo since I first got into slash, so hopefully it will all just come easily and the updates will be as quick as the beginnings of BHB's were!

OH. This. Do I like this yes I do you know that. Gosh, my username is practically a gay spitting joke, this one was made for me.
Since I only had a mini-gush the other night I reckon it's time to get my essay glasses on. And also turn the light on so I can actually see something. Oh, almost forgot my lacy knickers. Now I'm ready.

This is so bloody cute. I can't even begin to describe the dense bubbly chest-feeling that comes as a response to all this bloody cuteness. Beardy quiffy Ringo? Baby quiffy George? In love? Yes. Like I already said, I really dig the premise; it works so fluidly and leaves so many opportunities for titty twists. Like the one that's planned, oh boy I really wanna read that. Oh, I really love the platonic J/R too. And all the delights it brings ( ... )

I always sort of thought G/R was the cute one, but I just never really knew where to start with reading it lol. With J/P it's just like okay where are the NC-17 fics. But yes. I am a big softie really, I confess ( ... )

Yes, G/R is the cute one, J/P is the sexy one, J/G is the most realistic one (in my opinion okay) and cute as well. And J/R is.. er.. okay. If it's platonic. But otherwise it's just.. no. P/G is ugh I love it I don't know what else to say about it I just love it. I guess it's the brotherly one. And the P/R is just no. I have to admit... I kind of like J/P NC-17 scenes the best because they're the easiest to write and get into. I mostly like fluffy G/R. Okay what am I talking about why am I going on about this. Oh thank you, sniffle. Characterization is the most important thing ( ... )
