Hurray! Toronto City Council will not be closing libraries in order to lower the deficit. Over 300 people presented to council last night over 20 hours. They covered a lot of services that may be cut, but in the end LIBRARIES were taken off the list. -

What is a birthday, anyway?
At the end of May I attended a birthday party for a good friend. He is now in his 90th year and still enjoying his scotch and scrabble. A few weeks later I signed a card for a wonderful lady who I volunteer with at our foodbank, her 90th too. She has just published a book!
