I am sorry, I was going to comment on Rei/Minako and the anime's utter lack of their awesome, but then you had to post that picture of the SEXY BAMFS, and I got lost.

Everyone in FMA needed to make out. I don't care if it was shounen, I want my makeouts.

Yarly. Although to be honest, I was happy enough to see Edward/Winry get their proposal, hugs, and babies. Really, I was. But no Roy/Riza makeouts? TOTALLY NOT FAIR.

I'm glad that Rue/Mytho happened too. Ahiru/Mytho would not have fit after all that happened.

I SO agree with you about Hot Gimmick type pairings. (Btw, that manga is the WORST EVER.) It is not cool for girls to be doormats and let their boyfriend make all the decisions! It is not cool for him to be a complete asshole yet still get the girl's love! It's creepy. It should not be presented as something positive. Ugh, fail. :(

No, it wouldn't have; after everything that happened, it would've felt...not wrong, but it wouldn't have been the proper ending to a series like it. And I really wanted Rue to be happy and to get the prince she fell in love with since she was a child.

I agree so much! (Especially about Hot Gimmick. It's so ... ugh. It's so bad.) It's especially aggravating when the fail!canon specifically sets it up so there's excuses made for the lead jerk, like...secretly being a nice guy makes up for everything without him having to ever make it up to her. Just. WHAT IS THAT. It's one thing for the girl to help him change, but she shouldn't have to look past his issues and his atrocious behavior, and stay with him because she's too much of a doormat to stand ( ... )
