Well, after my 3rd year here, I have finally decided to get a journal if not just for my personal thoughts but maybe also notes on Herbology and some great recipes I've been meaning to try. Speaking of recipes, I would love to get a hold on a few from the kitchen, I may sneek down there one of these days and ask the house elves about it ( Read more... )

You better believe I'm hurrying! I thought I would miss my mum's cooking but the food they serve is amazing!

I know! It's soooo tasty! I mean, they used more spices back in America, but it's still really good. ^___^

I can do a lot given spices. My mum taught me and she is the best cook I know. This stuff is at least on par with mum's but there is still nothing like a good English country meal to fill you up!

When I'm not in the Great Hall eating, I'm down in the Greenhouses seeing as Herbology is my favorite subject. My Ol'Gaffer is a gardener and he taught me everything he knows until I came here, of course. What class do you teach?

Yeah, I hesitated about writin' a journal at first, but it's pretty nice to be able to talk to people whenever you feel like it. I ain't quite so interested in Herbology myself but it's cool seein' people likin' the classes they've got.

Care of Magical Creatures, mostly. I'm okay with Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts too, but I got an interest in magical critters, you know?

I also like Care of Magical Creatures. Potions I do well in, I think it is because of cooking with my mum. And I do good in Defense Against the Dark Arts and I have yet to figure out why.

The journals do come in awfully handy.

And don't worry about missin' out on lunch... there seems to be an endless supply 'cuz of the house elves.

Good point. And you get the better stuff if you're there earlier, anyway!
