I can't believe I gotta use the school brooms this year. The Old Man got me one last year 'cuz I was on the team, but it broke over the summer... so now I gotta try out with the school brooms again. This is gonna suck.

I wonder if I'll ever get to be Prefect. Everyone's talkin' about it like it's really cool an' stuff.

But, I don't think I could do that and Quidditch... 'sides, there's like responsibilities an' stuff, right?

So, I'm up at Neil's now, and it's been really awesome. No boat or Old Man, and I'm havin' loads of fun. We went to the zoo- [interrupted by being patted] What the hell-? [interrupted by a slap this time] HEY! What was th-!!!! [another slap]

So, I'm back on the boat, now. The Old Man's got me runnin' around doin' loads of stuff 'cuz I'm goin' to camp. Said something about how he's gonna be shorthanded or something. Between camp and wanting to visit friends, apparently I've 'got some nerve'. Psh. Whatever, man.

At least I don't hafta take summer classes this year...
