If you were getting an Infiniti G35 Coupe, would you get the sunroof?

I would get the sunroof on any car, in any state. On that car, in california, even more so.

my only problem with sunroofs is that they eventually will rattle. They are good for venting the heat though. Is it a multi-position (ie tilt and open) sunroof?

yeah, it tilts. That's the same opinion I have about sunroofs so far... It just seems like something that's not gonna get used all that often and will definitely break.

yeah, why not?
You like the sunroof in your car now, don't you?

P.S. You are a loser.

I wanna get a VW Golf GTI. I went to test drive it on Friday. Sooo nice.

debating... I'm not what anyone would call skilled at driving a manual.. also it would be a pain in the ass in traffic. On the other hand, that car screams to be a manual...

I would get the manual with no sunroof. Sunroofs seem to never get used and they add a fair bit of weight in the absolute worst pace on the car for handling. They have gotten better about it not hurting the structura integrity though. The other problem is if you are really tall they make the roof shorter. Probably not an issue for you.

The manual is needed. You will get better with it, but it is the difference between a sports car and a luxury car. You heard the exhaust not on that car! It is really not that much of a pain in traffic in my opinion...

Definitely agree here. I drive in LA with my 5 speed, and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I even have a particularly stiff clutch, but it's still worth it. As for the sunroof, well, there's nothing quite like cruising PCH with the windows down and the sunroof open, but mine does rattle. I guess it just depends on what you want, but I know you want the manual. ;-)

Also, Colin, that Campbell book on car engines you suggested to Andy is quite good. I picked it up and have just started reading it.
