There was a knock on Yami's door and the king of bandits was humming softly. As always, he had on his jacket and normal black clothes. He was most comfortable in them and he needed to be comfortable today. He was taking the King of Games to the carnival. It was amusing because Jing has noticed that Kaiba had... warned Yami about him. It was amusing to be sure ( ... )

When Yami heard the knock he glanced up from the couch. What good luck, he had been the game of Minesweeper on hard in about 30 seconds. Yami never liked to stop in the middle of a game.

Because of the summertime, Yami was unable to attend in his usual... "modern day" attire of black leather. No doubt his day would have been horrendous, walking around sweating like a wild boar. The tri-color-haired pharaoh slipped his LP into his pocket, heading towards the door as he slipped on his shoes. He opened the door, and his wine-red gaze was already situated in an upwards fashion.

Jing was tall. Not as tall as Kaiba, but he was still tall ( ... )

Yami's height registered only briefly to Jing. He didn't really care about the Pharaoh's height. Really, he was the one used to being short so it was a slightly nice change actually. And he was glad to see the other wasn't donning his usual black leather. For a joking moment he wondered if Yami had a thing for bondage. A small snicker exited his lips at that thought but shook his head ( ... )

When the King of Bandits leaning in and brushed his fingers into Yami's earlobe, the vertically challenged man nearly went rigid--and not in the good way. It seemed his friend wasn't aware of the concept of... 'personal bubble', something that Yami, being raised as an untouchable god-like figure, had been beaten into all his life. Since Yami's posture was refined and always kept erect, the change was almost unnoticeable. Almost. However, since coming to Japan (and then Salkia), it seemed as though that concept was filtering away along with the time. His friends, Jou and Honda, would usually exploit this. Yami didn't enjoy being pulled, tugged, and slung around just because he didn't even weight 8-stone (he was 94 pounds, to be exact). He wasn't someone's personal hackey-sack.

However, since someone known at the King of Bandits was checking out the ancient piece of decoration ( ... )

The screwdriver slipped for the third time, skidding out of Kaiba's hand and landing on the floor. The CEO made no effort to muffle his cursing, since here was nobody in the arcade to hear him anyway. Why was he here? Nobody was going to come in while there was a carnival outside, and he had no focus to get any work done. He hadn't had it since last night, which troubled him deeply ( ... )

"Sounds like fun," he chuckled. "And you survived obviously. But no. Nothing like that here. I promise you're safe," and if anything did happen he would handle it. They continued to walk and he would find out in a second if Kaiba would follow them. The brunette didn't have any subtlety in the art of stealth. Maybe he'd make that their next game. Well, he'd think on that later. "But there are games here if you decide you want to take a break from rides. Or we can even continue you're culinary education."

They headed over to where the rides were located and he looked at all of them.

"Well, I'm fond of everything really. Roller-coasters are definitely fun. I'll take you on one of those later though. You just ate so maybe something slow for the moment would be good. Oh, there's a fun house, that should do until the food settles. Fried food should be allowed to settle. Come on," he chuckled as he rested his hands once more on Yami's shoulders and guided him over to the fun house.

Ah, the fun house. Yami was quite familiar with these, having been in them a few times while in Domino City. He didn't know exactly why there were called out--it wasn't really a house--and sometimes it wasn't exactly fun. Most times, in fact, it was tedious. But the people emerging seemed like they were having a good time. So Yami hoped for the best.

Of course, the first thing that would happen when they arrived was to be inside an entire bottom floor of mirrors. Yami glanced around beside Jing, looking at his multiple reflections.

"This looks fun..." And the glass was oddly clean. Usually there would be fingerprints from people touching the walls.

Kaiba scowled when the other two started to move again, but it was only when they were out of hearing range that he finally followed. He stayed behind booths or trees when he could, and in crowds when there as nothing else, easily keeping Yami's distinctive hair in sight.

His scowl got worse, however, once he realized where they were going. "He's taking him inside," the brunet hissed to himself in irritation as he watched the two disappear into the funhouse. There was no avoiding it; he'd have to go in. Kaiba realized that he could hear them well enough from the doorway, but he could not be seen from inside the room. Good enough. Kaiba settled himself against the frame of the entrance as if he were waiting for someone and listened.
