Yami and Jing going out shouldn't have bothered him as much as it was. If the ex-pharaoh wanted to go stumbling into whatever trap or information gathering operation the Bandit King was setting up, it should not have mattered to him. But it did, and Kaiba hated it. The brunet hissed in irritation and got out from under the machine. No sense in stripping the screw if no one was even going to come in today. It didn't take long for him to close up the empty store front and to start the walk home.
It would be so easy to just go to the carnival, just to make sure there wouldn't be any information he missed, or odd behavior or words that Yami wouldn't notice. Kaiba scowled and shook his head as he entered his new living space. No...that was irrational, and pointless, and only seved to stress the question of why he was even bothered by this in the first place. He refused to go. Unless...he was just going to investigate a business competitor. It never hurt to look at other people's machines, right? It's not like he hadn't walked in on other theme parks and arcades before. That wouldn't be out of place at all.
Kaiba stripped without thinking, leaving his precious trench coat behind (too visible and too hot...he just didn't want the owners of the carnival to notice what he was doing. That was all.) in favor of a black sleeveless shirt and black slacks, with only the silver KaibaCorp belt and his locket necklace accenting them. The necklace went under his shirt, to keep it safe and invisible to nosier residents, and he stuck a pen and pad of paper in his pocket along with his L337Pod and key for notes. On the machines. Yes. Kaiba had to keep reminding himself of that as he left the house, even as his irrational anger at the whole situation simmered . He was just looking at business compitition. That's all this trip was. Nothing else involved at all.
