A walk. He just needed to go for a walk. With having work to deal with, it had to be on his break, but luckily for him, he was pretty quick on his feet. He just needed to be away from everyone and the entire situation he'd gotten himself into. But where to do that?
Why not the beach. It was where he'd ended up eventually. It was calming, to say the least, enough to let him alone with his thoughts. Enough to keep him away from the prying population of Salkia.
He hadn't expected to see someone out there though- a someone he'd never seen before. And she looked pretty confused. ...and drenched.
"Are you alright?" He asked taking a few steps towards her.
Nill jumped, practically cowering away from the new figure in front of her, her wings pointing straight up in fear. Looking him over, she saw now weapons nor signs that he was going to hurt her. Swallowing hard, she did a combination of nodding and shaking her head.
Where am I? she mouthed the words while motioning to the island with her hands, but had no idea if he'd catch what she tried to say. If that didn't work, she had the sand as an extra helper.
Wings. Well.. that was new, but not completely surprising. People from all over came here all the time. What was odd was that she wasn't speaking. Or at least, she seemed to try but nothing came out. It was a long shot guess at what she was trying to say, but most new arrivals asked the same thing.
So he'd go with that. "You're on Salkia Island." And if he was wrong, he'd find out soon. But maybe he could help this just a bit. Reaching into his pocket, he produced his LP. "Do you have one of these?" All new arrivals just seemed to have them. And if she did, she could at least utilize the typing function.
Nill looked at the gadget he produced, and looked around frantically for something similar. What is that? she paused, staring at what he was holding before making a small squeak, crouching down to the sand and writing,
"Where is Salkia Island?" mainly to completely overlook what the gadget was. Maybe she dropped it somewhere, if she ever had one. She was one to lose important things sometimes, and she was washed up onto the shore, so it could be around somewhere...
The beach was warm, bright, and hopefully loud enough to mask any singing that went on. At least...that was what Ken was thinking when he wandered down there to study. It had been his old roommate's idea to keep up with his schoolwork while they were here, and Ken had certainly tried to keep it going. Of course, there was always the odd Island interference...or new person.
"Ah!" he called out once he saw the girl. "Hey, are you okay?"
Nill jumped and backed away slightly before realizing how harmless this person looked, in fact, how young he was. A breath she had been holding was released, and she motioned to what was around her with her arms, wishing she could explain with actual words. She moved her hands, motioning towards the water, then to herself. Though it would seem quite obvious to everyone else, considering how wet she was.
Ken jumped to when she did, out of automatic reaction. He was used to Digimon, and even really to what the Island did, but wet girls who were older than him weren't exactly the most common thing to see.
Wait. She was all wet..and gesturing...suddenly Ken felt incredibly foolish. He flushed and ducked his head, regretting that he hadn't brought a jacket with him.
"You...you must be new. I can...go get some help, or if you don't mind walking...you can come with me," he stammered. He pointed towards town.
"There's a town this way. You probably have a key to a room too. Usually people do."
Nill reached out, touching the boy's shoulder softly and reassuringly while her wings fluttered slightly to get as much sea water off of them as possible.
Shaking her head, she pointed to her neck and shook her head, trying to tell him that she had no voice. She was scared, but she didn't want to alarm the boy, and if she got more scared and confused, that would probably make the boy upset, and she didn't want that.
