Who better to run across him than the boy who hates his humanity? XD queens_guarddog January 11 2010, 05:29:29 UTC
Ciel was taking a stroll to clear his mind. Wearing his customary top hat and blue cloak, the boy's thoughts were drifting between what had happened and what he was going to do about it. So what if he couldn't summon Sebastian? There were other ways to contact the demon. Still...

He could not say it wasn't unsettling. If he were in real danger, Sebastian may not be able to do anything about it.

Gritting his teeth, he walked a bit faster. With every other step, his cane tapped the ground with a little more force than he would use usually. In fact, that was the only sound that occupied his attention until he heard "I hate being human".

Pausing, he looked around and spotted Szayel standing not far away.

"Is that so?" he called out, an amused smirk on his lips, "What were you before?"

Ciel was not one to hold his punches. Szayel had caught his attention and now he wanted answers. It was as simple as that.

Szayel glanced at the arrogant young brat across the way with a look of disinterest. After a moment, he reached up, adjusting his glasses.

"Arrancar, if you must know, boy," he replied dryly.

Did you say hell? XD queens_guarddog January 11 2010, 05:48:43 UTC
"You will have to be more specific." Ciel's voice was more than a little amused, "Has the island been toying with you?" he readjusted his hold on his cane, tilting his head back to get a good look at the man, "My name is Ciel Phantomhive. What is yours?"

Yes, yes I did. :|b omnomspecimens January 11 2010, 05:52:31 UTC
"Hmph... I'm certain you yourself are well aware of what the island has done to people during this little event," he snapped, irritation rolling off of his voice in waves.

At the introduction though, he forced himself to take a breath. No use getting snippy when he could no longer sense what others were capable of.

"Octava Espada, Szayel Aporro Granz," he replied.

Saya was beyond angry...she was frustrated, pissed and possibly thankful she didn't have a gun in her hands. Otherwise she felt she would've been trigger happy. Instead she wanted to kick something, scream and possibly throw something too. It was ironic, really.

Before she thought she was an ordinary with nothing special about her except her high metabolism and need to eat (plus blood transfusions)...but no. She...was something else...something else that had a dark past complete with a psychotic sister. All because their blood was special.

"Damnit!" she growled, kicking the ground. This was not good. If someone had her special blood (and she had an idea of who it was)...and fed it someone...And if someone else has Diva's blood. Saya's future didn't look too bright.

Though it appeared someone else was having the same problem. Though she had to do a mental double take. Wasn't human before then? Saya didn't think there were other chiropteran here, then again there were others from different worlds here.. So for all she knew..maybe ( ... )

Szayel glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. Ah yes, the strange one from before. He flicked his fingers in disinterest, hating not being able to sense others around him. He felt like he was walking blind, especially since he had not yet determined what all everyone was yet.

"As much as I am loath to agree," he replied, annoyed.

Loath to agree? That was new to her. Then again she shouldn't be expecting much from a man who acted so rudely to her before.

"And I'm guessing nothing can be done about it...damn...nobody needs this right now," she told him, well..more like vented.

"It would certainly seem so," he replied dryly, the sarcasm practically dripping from his voice. "Unless you have some wondrous ability to return an individual's proper life to them."

Kagome walked down the street, lost in thought. Ever since this strange event, she felt as though she lost part of herself. Realizing that she drew more on her Priestess powers then she thought, she just felt lost without them. The love for the ninja powers have disintegrate and now she just wanted to be herself. Feeling low since she had not hit one target at the archery range with her bow and arrows, she trudged home.

As she walked by a man who was brushing snow off of something, she did not pay any mind to him until she heard his statement. Realizing that he could be a menace, she quickly drew her bow and aimed an arrow straight at his heart. She didn't realize that without her Priestess powers she could not do as much damage.

"What are you then?" She asked in her determined voice with her arrow unwavering.

Szayel turned, eyeing the woman and her bow. He really couldn't look any more disinterested in her or the fact that she was pointing a weapon at him.

"An arrancar, if you must know," he drawled, waving her away.

Kagome watched him eye her with disinterest...so he didn't think she could hurt him did he. Not wanting to shoot prematurely, she relaxed the bow but did not put the arrow back in the quiver.

"What is an arrancar?"

Somehow he managed to look even less disinterested as she lowered her bow, turning away from her as if she did not matter -- which, in his perfect opinion, she didn't. Still he answered her question anyway, sounding like he's had to say this a million times before as he replied.

"An arrancar is an advanced form of hollow. You humans think of them more as corrupted spirits, though there is certainly much more to it than such a simplistic explanation."
