Who: Kuchiki Rukia, Kurosaki Ichigo, Hyuuga Neji What: Rukia proves to Ichigo exactly WHY he shouldn't spar. When: October 19th at noon Where: The clearing in the forest Warnings: Violence, blood, people gettin' MESSED up.
He arrived at the clearing only a few minutes after Ichigo, adjusting the hood of his jacket and tucking the hand back into his pocket. Even though they were still on the island, it was starting to feel a little cooler for some reason and he found that rather strange, but he didn't complain.
When he caught sight of the younger male, he smiled lightly and brought his hand up, removing the hood and shaking his hair free, both hands lowering to slip into the pockets of his black, skinny jeans instead.
``Ichigo,`` he greeted, moving up and sitting next to him on the log.
"Ah...Neji." Ichigo nodded in his direction, offering that obviously fake smile. He turned his gaze back to the ocean, staying silent for now. This match with Rukia already had an eerie intensity to it, and he realized that it had been a long time since he had to bust his ass to win. Neji was admirably strong, but Rukia was the same as Ichigo. Not only that, but he'd only really witnessed her fighting seriously a couple of times and he wasn't sure what to expect from the older Shinigami.
The brunet tilted his head, watching Ichigo look at him from the corner of his eye. He could tell that the smile was fake, but he wasn't going to say anything about it. Really, he could understand how Ichigo felt, fighting with someone he cared about so much. He was curious though. ``Nervous?`` he asked quietly.
Ichigo didn't so as sure as he'd wanted to and he knit his brows a little harder. He set his elbow on his knee and placed his chin in his palm, keeping his dark gaze trained on the ocean.
She flashed stepped to the scene, arriving not even a second after the meeting time. Rukia straightened out her shinigami uniform and looked over at the two. She bowed towards Neji.
"I doubt things will get out hand, but in case, you can be the judge of that."
Having her own body back and not having time to adjust would work to her disadvantage. But, she had a lesson to teach. Her serious look didn't let up. She turned to Ichigo.
Ichigo stood up, that anxious look on his face increasing. He watched Rukia close, reaching back to pull Zangetsu off of his back.
"Ah...I'm ready." Ichigo said with a slight nod. Of course, he waited patiently for the older Shinigami to unsheathe her own zanpakuto. He wasn't sure if he should strike first, or if Rukia wouldn't waste any time once her sword was out.
She wouldn't wait for Neji's answer because she knew she could trust him. The girl drew her zanpakutou, its blade pointed at Ichigo. She would have to take it a bit slow until she was used to her own body again.
Rukia flash stepped behind Ichigo, ready to attack.
As he'd thought, Rukia hadn't wasted any time. His brown eyes widened when she practically disappeared, and Ichigo spun around quickly. He brought Zangetsu up in front of him to block, and he cracked a grin at the smaller Shinigami.
The orange haired teen had been so worried but now that the fight had begun, he could feel a rush he hadn't felt in a long, long time.
Ichigo figured he would let her come at him first to feel how her style of fighting. They'd never done this before, and while he'd seen her fight a bit, he really had no clue what to expect from her. All he knew was, he was ready to flash step away from her in order to try to get away from ANY kido she might use.
