I spent my childhood with my mom dating guys who acted like victims. Like everything bad wasn't their fault. And it was. Because they drank and did drugs. And they made excuses.

I'm never going to make excuses. I will take responsibility.

I lost my temper, because you are asking difficult questions. I apologize. You deserve better than that. Thank you for caring enough about me to ask.

Being a victim doesn't mean you make excuses. Not when you're a REAL victim. But it does mean not letting what someone else did to you hold you back.

Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Maybe I should say it differently? Because, I don't mean anything bad at all about people who've lived through rough things. I really respect people who survive, who get through stuff.
