Now that I think about it, Term 1 seems to be pretty good so far. I guess it's just been hard trying to enjoy the past few weeks in Hamilton when we're having such problems with the house and the douchebag Realtor but... I'll get into that later.

ni hao!

Remember if you ever wanna practice Mandarin, I'm here! I'm finally getting to stuff like, "The weather in Beijing is hot, but the weather in shanghai is even more hotter", or stuff like, "although i like to eat fruit everyday, i do not like apples", and stuff like, "i have not studied japanese in the past two years".

Which is great, because that means one can have more conversations with people. Although one has to be careful - because talking too much to taxi drivers can lead to questions on your age and your marital status.

By the way, know your pinyin for your name?

LOL @ the taxi drivers. Ohhh, senpai! OTL You can speak so much more than I can, haha. I'm thinking of starting a Chinese blog as I did with Japanese when I first started to learn it. It might make things a little more pleasant. @_@

Ah, the pinyin for my name is Liao4 Yu4 Jing1 (廖玉晶). I'm so glad Mandarin has only 4 tones to work with. =_=;

If you started one, I'd read it (although accessing blogs over here is rather dicey).

I like your name! It's so pretty! The four tones kill me though. It's a good thing that I am not having to learn Cantonese! Hahaha. And I must say that it makes me appreciate the simplistic beauty of japanese!
