ONE-SHOT
Plot: You know how you feel love sometimes? Sometimes you feel like you want to shout to let her/him know. And sometimes you want to back away from her/him, that is when you discover about her more.
“Why do you always do this to me?” Ryutaro shrugged as he picked his jacket.
“What? What did I exactly do that made you angry?” Ai asked in curiosity.
Ryutaro walked to Johnny’s while Ai keeps on following him. He has not given a word to the girl since their arrival at the company. Ai talked to the other members and talents of Johnny’s together with her friends that came sooner than her.
“Hey, Ryu! What’s the problem between you and Ai?” Yamada worded as he eats a strawberry.
“Nothing, she’s just too close to me.” Ryutaro snobbishly said while he picked a strawberry from the boy.
Yabu Kota, the older member puts his hands on both of his sides as he sighed. And gave Ryutaro a weird look as he knows there was something wrong between the two. They haven’t talked for an hour and Ai only keeps on staring the boy.
“We’re family Ryutaro. You can tell us the problem. You two are best friends and I don’t know why you’re acting so weird towards her.” Yabu shook his head.
Ryutaro touched the back of his neck and looked at the ceiling as he groans. He was feeling pain for sure, and for no reason.
“What do you want to know? That we got too close this morning and as I look into her face my heart beats so fast like the other day when I stare at her? And don’t you think that’s fair? That I’m the only one feeling this way. I mean she’s always so happy. And here I am getting all blushed and goes doki doki whenever I see her. Is that what you wanted to know?” Ryutaro stated as he made a face to every word he says.
Everyone that was near him laughed as they heard his reason.
“So you’re staying away from her not because you are irritated with her but because you’re in love with her?” Hikaru laughed in a nonsense way.
Ryutaro shows his index finger to the boy to make a sign that he should just shut up. He closed his eyes and breaths heavily.
“This is not funny. I don’t know what to do anymore. Instead I get so irritated with her because she makes me feel so… You know? That feeling, she makes me so like into a rush in everything.” Ryutaro sighed in disbelief.
As he was saying the words Ai walks towards them and was curious about what they were talking about.
“Oh! Ichijo Ai! Yo! How are you?” Chinen smiled as he looked at Ryutaro.
Ryutaro looked away anxious. Everyone was trying to halt their laugh. When Yamada tried to make a joke.
“Ichijo… Can’t you be my ichigo? Ah! Sorry! Sorry! That joke won’t happen again. I’ll go get a food.” Yamada smiled and laughed at his own joke when everybody looked at him awkwardly.
He stopped walking near Ryutaro and whispered something. Everyone left the two as they knew the both needs privacy.
“What’s wrong? Can’t you tell me? We’re best friends, remember?” Ai smiled.
“You’re my problem.” Ryutaro shut his eyes.
Ai was confused and flips her hair. She looked away and asked why. A moment of silence was heard. They were both confused of everything.
“How are you and your boyfriend?” Ryutaro asked once he ended his spacing out mind.
“We’re done.” Ai smiled.
“Why?” Ryutaro immediately look at the girl.
That was the reason why Ryutaro was so irritated with her. He likes her but then she was committed and he can’t do anything. He wants her to be his.
“I like somebody else but he doesn’t pay any attention on me so I go out with another boy I don’t like to make him jealous.” Ai laughed in despair.
Ryutaro looked at her with his round eyes. He was thinking very carefully of what to say next.
“You used Makoto-kun? As you said, we’re best friends, then who is this boy you like?” Ryutaro asked nervously as he know he’ll be getting a heart broken when he hear who the boy she’s liking is.
Ai giggled and looked at him with a smiled. She was a nice and gentle girl.
“That’s the problem.” Ai worded.
Every Hey! Say! JUMP member looked at the two as they were curious. They were watching the two and smiled at them.
“What’s the problem?” Ryutaro looked at her again with anxious feeling.
He feels there is a commotion in his heart which cannot be taken away. He was waiting for an answer and answer was given to him.
“The problem is… The boy I like looks at me as his best friend only. He doesn’t pay any attention to me other than his best friend.” Ai looked away.
Yabu smiled as he heard. They were at the back where the two are sitting. They were at the other room. Daiki jumped as he felt a chills of love flowing.
“Ryutaro’s a big boy now huh?” Keito stated as he looked at Yabu.
“You mean… Me?” Ryutaro asked.
“Are there any boy best friend I have? Other than you?” Ai asked as she raised her eyebrow.
Ryutaro looked away once again, and smiled at his self. He was too happy with what he heard.
“Then… Why don’t you be my Cherry? Or my Ichigo as Yamachan said.” Ryutaro slowly held her hands and hold it like forever.
Ai dropped her mouth open as she was shocked to the boy’s reaction. She was too surprised at the boy’s confession making her think it was a joke. She tried to pull her hand but Ryutaro won’t let it go. The boy’s eyes stayed looking at her.
“Stop this joke, Ryu! I’m not in the mood for this kind of joke. Don’t deceive with those looks!” Ai stopped as she felt a hug crashed with her body.
Ryutaro smiled and stood up. Making him bent over his knees.
“I’ll make this a proper one as I see it in the TV. Would you be my girl Ichijo Ai? I’m serious about this and I’m not joking. Please? I’ve wanted to tell you this since I realize I was in love with you, but then you dated Makoto-kun. So will you answer me please?” Ryutaro held the girl’s hands again and look at her straight in the eye.
Ai smiled and felt her cheeks turned red. She doesn’t know what to do and keep smiling to her self.
Every Hey! Say! JUMP member walked in as the romance began. Inoo stand in front of them and made an air guitar.
“You said it right, baby!” He started to say it in a slang English version.
Everyone laughed and Keito told him to shut up.
“What? Isn’t that right? That’s what you told me Keito!” Inoo was ashamed of what he did and still everyone laughed.
Ai halt with her laughing and looked at Ryutaro’s face.
“Y-you… I would kill you if you every make a bad joke in front of me. Are we clear? And it’s a yes.” Ai kissed his forehead as a sign of her trust and love.
Everyone started to tease the two making them blush more. Ryutaro chase Chinen, Yamada and Yuto who tickled him. They were all happy for him. A day to be happy.
Sometimes love is not in the right time, but then it makes a way for you two to be together when you are for each other. A happy ending are only in fairy tales, they said. That’s not actually true, ‘because not only love have happy endings. Don’t you think? Friendship too has it.
