Awww, so sad, and I think you really capture Goujun's sadness and loss, and his sense of defeat.

(I am so eagerly awaiting the next chapter of Gaiden, it really has me on tenterhooks.)

Thanks hun, I'm so glad you liked it. I too am itching for the next chapter of Gaiden. Cliffhangers never really bother me much, but they way the last chapter ended...guh!

Thanks for reading, especially since Gaiden isn't something you read much =)

You have me in tears. Being the one left behind is so often so much more sad than being the one who is taken away... I feel for Goujun so very strongly. This is a piece that explains flawlessly why a proud, strong dragon-king would give up his stature, his pride and his life, to be a jeep for four travelers who don't even recognize him...

Awww, thank you hun, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I've always wondered what it would be like for Goujun after all is said and done, since he obviously doesn't leave at the same time as everyone else. I really feel for Goujun, especially if things turn out the way things are looking right now in the manga. Duty can be a troublesome thing.

Thanks for reading!

Yeah... you're not the only one. I haven't seen gaiden yet (I keep to the manga and said manga hasn't been released in English to my best knowledge... I waaant iiiit) but still... I feel so very sorry for Goujun. Just imagine being left behind and than 500 (500!!) years later being send down to earth to function as a vehicle of all things! And than you get there and you find your friends, but not, and they're tortured beings, tortured by the lives you just know they've been sentenced to by their former comrades.
That's just cruel.

I know, it really is, isn't it. Goujun is one of those characters I always end up feeling really sorry for. It's like he's looking in on the lives of our four guys, but always from the outskirts. And it always makes me wonder how badly he wants to be a part of their lives.

That is so sad, particularly the implication that Gojoun has been left behind. I can't help but think of the ghosts themselves, who have left heaven and have gone on to live real lives while Goujun remains in the dusty offices. Very nice.
