Aw, I think that was touching. The bar-like shadows were creepy-portending too. Well done!

Aw, they're so cute together!

I especially liked this;

Captivated, he bent his neck and pressed their foreheads together, creating a friendly mesh of chestnut bangs.

But then that wistful moment of Gonou thinking of children; a reminder of the taboo of their love.

And the bar-like shadows; got a bit of a chill there.

Bittersweet, indeed.

Oooo, creepy at the end there, but the affection between them was very warming, and I loved how he wanted to carry her over the threshold! ^___^

Wow.......I almost didn't read this, because I truly hate Kanan....hate her for what she did to Hakkai.....but I am SO glad I did. Its lovely, and the ending is so amazing. It really hits you hard.
