Sanzo really is a classic introvert, isn't he? Needs solitude to recharge, but instead he's surrounded by some extremely wearing people.

He really is that. soliandxpyne have been doing a series of profiles of the Saiyuki characters in the terminology of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. They haven' t done Sanzo yet, but I'm betting on INTJ, same as my husband and daughter.

It's got to be very, very tough on him. He doesn't get many of these opportunities to recharge his reserves with some alone-time.
