A new TV series has been mooted for some time, but this time it looks set to go ahead. Interested in seeing (and hearing) a relatively young Leslie Charteris on film?  I recently stumbled across this 30-second clip from May 1936, of Charteris being interviewed about his experience on the Hindenburg's first voyage to the United States.

For June 8th, TCM has scheduled a primetime/overnight marathon of the RKO Saint films--and for that reason, their latest Now Playing guide includes a picture I hadn't seen before.

Well, actually, these are two dozen icons of George Sanders. Only about half of them specifically concern his role as the Saint, but many of the general ones could pass as Saintly too, so I thought I might as well share them all here. :)

I know most of us prefer the original, Charteris-written Saint stories, but when there is a dearth of them at the library, what is one to do? Bite the (metaphorical) bullet and read the adaptations, of course!
