Funimation's handling of the D. Gray-Man anime puzzles me. First, they give it a dub that has proven controversial with the fans. Then, they fail to distribute it very well. I wonder if there's some business-related shenanigans we're not privy to. They had a street date for one of the DGM boxes, we put it in the magazine, and then had to yank it out because it suddenly got pushed back. That's not like FUNi; usually they're pretty solid for release dates.

Welcome to my world. XD; I don't think it's so much Funi's problem as it is the ones who are supposed to be ordering it. Anime in North America is on life support (see Best Buy cutting back on the DVDs they're getting in stock and Geneon's demise). Buying online is always the best way to go if you're looking for anime DVDs.

In just about every case, it was "not in the store, can be ordered through our web site." I ran a check on the Best Buy site; the closest store carrying it is in *Staten Island*.

I got my pre-order from amazon.com in the mail last week, though. Huh. Wonder if they're distributing it mostly online?

I do know that a lot of stores are cutting back on their anime stock, though.
