That picture of Alice in front of the mushrooms looks really cool. I'd never classify myself as an Alice in Wonderland fan, I've never read the books, but I do enjoy the movies and even was the Duchess in the play version. I have a feeling, however, that what I enjoy about those versions would wear thin in novel form. There is only so much wackiness I can stand before it becomes tiresome.
I'm really enjoying Who Are You?. I was worried that Young In was going to drive me crazy because she was such a brat, but she shaped up pretty quickly.

I don't think reading Alice In Wonderland is the necessity experience that the world has made it out to be. The novels are mediocre at best--he should have stuck with poetry, IMHO. But that's just me!! I do love the images; can't wait to at least see it all as a movie! :3
Oh, I know what you mean about Young In! She really grows on you. I can't wait for you to finish to tell me what you thought of it!! :D

Is it bad that I can not get past the fact that Johnny Depps contacts are not even in that picture? I almost half wonder if they are supposed to be that way given the Mad Hatters character.
"Films and literature should always be treated as separate entities because while they have an influence on each other, they're very different mediums, IMHO."
Agreed!

Johnny Depp is creepy as the Mad Hatter. I don't like looking into his eyes directly. o.o

Yes, it's one of my favorite books but not for the same reason as a lot of people: i.e. emo bullshit, AND ALL THOSE OTHER FUCKING POSERS...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!! I enjoy the character of Alice: she's in this screwed up land, but she tells people OFF! This girl can take care of herself and tells everyone to fuck off when she gets bored or annoyed with their constant craziness. It's a cute little story but too many people have tried to put this pychotic spin on it and I really don't like it. If you want to make it creepy just think of Lewis Carroll's actualy realtionship with Alice and that any diary entry mentioning him was burned by her family upon her death...I would have loved to read those! (would this be like James Joyce writing me a letter? *shudder*)
ANYway, agreed I still am interested in seeing it. I hope it's not too psycho or emo for me, I fear for it o.O
