Jun had convinced himself that Sho was going to fall right into his lap.
Because it had been three consecutive nights in which he had been with Aiba, Ohno, and then Nino, so it only made sense, right? That Sho was next on the list and that Jun wouldn’t have to do a thing to get what he wanted.
Well, he was wrong. In the morning Sho acted completely like he usually did, and so did the rest of the group, other than their occasional whispered conversation, but today they didn’t have any work together, just a quick meeting early on, and Sho didn’t even blink an eyelash at the rest of them as he waved, headed out for his personal filming, not to be seen again for several days.
And so Jun became depressed because he spent that night at home alone, unable to bring himself to call anyone, although Nino eventually called him around ten, quickly followed by Aiba and Ohno in succession, and Jun couldn’t believe this was happening, that his friends were just as sympathetic about the situation as if he had never been involved with them in the first place.
But Jun was happy they were there, and even though he was too tired to suggest something like an orgy (and Sho was still in his head anyway, dangling himself like some sort of candy before Jun’s inner eye), he was comforted by the fact that they didn’t seem to care if he wanted to have sex with Sho too (and had apparently expected it, like Nino had casually mentioned before).
None of them saw each other for a few days after that, although Jun got calls and text messages in shorter intervals than before all of this had happened, of Aiba’s worrying, Nino’s bad (and often sexual) jokes, and Leader’s simple emails of only emoticons. It really did make him feel better, but at the same time it was obvious that something needed to progress with Sho or else their group synergy might even be put on the line.
“You know you’re going to have to do it. You can’t wait for him to, because he never will.”
Nino was sitting at his counter eating an apple while the other two were on the couch, Aiba having fallen asleep on Ohno, who was gently rubbing his hair and not contributing much to Nino’s pep talk.
Jun swallowed. He had been so scared of Nino getting angry at him again-that he would call him insensitive which was just about the biggest insult that he thought was possible, considering his proud bragging of being close with his group mates--but he was trying to help him seduce Sho instead of preventing Jun from doing so in order to keep him for himself, which was a little surprising, taking into account Nino’s blatantly stingy attitude. But then again, he was sharing with Aiba and Ohno already (apparently), so maybe this was some sort of exception.
“But I don’t know what to do. If I did I would have done it already.” He wanted to add something about this whole situation was only due to his magical deodorant, which he had tried to buy more of only to find out there was no more at the convenience store and that it didn’t exist at all on the internet, and that it was the only reason he had gotten the other three in the first place. It was only a matter of time until it ran out, though, so Jun was seriously considering taking action while he had that extra advantage instead of putting it off over and over again like he had up until now.
“No you wouldn’t have. You’re too passive for something like that,” Nino sighed.
“How do you know so goddamn much about me?” Jun asked, a little frustrated, rubbing his hair with his hand roughly and sighing heavily. It was surprising how well Nino was at reading him when Jun himself like he couldn’t understand his fellow idol at all, outside of their vaguely similar video game interest at least.
“I also know you are an idiot,” came the yielding reply, and Jun almost interpreted that as I love you even though Nino hadn’t said those three words to him at all yet, but at least he understood that much--although it was probably only because Nino was trying to make it obvious enough that he wouldn’t have to say it at all.
So Jun tried. He invited Sho over for dinner and did the most romantic things he could to prepare, like buy a nice set of candles to light, and a new music CD that he knew would be a hit with the rapper, and cook for the better part of the afternoon (Sho’s favorite foods that were almost too spicy for Jun’s own taste buds), and made sure everything was perfect. And rubbed his deodorant all over everything in hopes that he would get the same results that he had gotten with Nino, even though it used up more than half of what remained.
But Sho had a slight cold when he came over, so instead of enjoying the food to its fullest he was sniffing and then dripping when the spice hit him, blowing his nose over and over again until they were done (then he seemed fine) and Jun tried not to be annoyed that dinner had sort of been ruined despite Sho enjoying basically any and all foods (which made it an almost impossible plan to screw up).
It was okay, though, because he thanked Jun over and over again for the meal and complimented him on how delicious it was (although Jun was convinced that he didn’t taste half of it), and he agreed to stay for a while longer despite having a full day of work tomorrow, so they moved into the living room area, Jun turning off the lights in the kitchen and leaving the room bathed in a soft glow of flickering flames.
And then Sho turned the television on, settling himself into the corner of the couch to watch the news.
With a sigh, Jun humored him, glancing over at his guest as he sat down on the opposite end, and tried to gauge whether he had even noticed the romantic setting (despite having the TV on, it was still sort of there) and he couldn’t even bring up the CD purchase or start a conversation because Sho was zoned in on the stories, his eyes never leaving the screen except for the sparse commercials, and when those came on he retreated into the bathroom to blow his nose again, completely ignoring Jun’s presence.
Finally, when the program was over and Jun managed to distract Sho away from whatever might be next with a cup of steaming tea, turning down the volume and sitting closer to his friend in hopes of making his move (despite Sho being sick and having bad breath and appearing to be completely oblivious to the whole thing).
“Wow, this pillow smells pretty good,” Jun said suddenly, pulling up the puffy square that had been thrown between them into his lap and then obviously sniffing it with his nose even though he couldn’t really make out a smell on it. But he had (sort of awkwardly) rubbed some of his deodorant on it earlier as part of his plan to see what Sho thought it smelled like, even if it didn’t obviously have any sort of effect on him.
After taking a sip of his drink (which was too hot, so he made a scrunched face before sitting it on the table next to him) Sho took the item, which Jun basically shoved into his hands, and did the same, only taking a deeper breath and making much more noise.
“Sorry. It must be because I’m sick, but it just smells normal,” he replied sheepishly, gently handing the pillow back, but Jun wasn’t giving up because he had already come this far and embarrassed himself this much and it didn’t matter if Sho couldn’t smell his magical deodorant because he had to do this while he still had some left! It must be having some effect, it was just wasn’t obvious!
“Well, it’s just that, you know, Leader and Aiba-chan and Nino, they’ve all been going on lately that I smell different and… like that night we went out? When Masaki couldn’t stop sniffing me?” Jun prompted again, although he was becoming less and less confident by the second.
“As I said before… You smell just like the regular Jun to me,” Sho replied with a tiny apologetic smile, patting him heavily on the shoulder, and it was obvious that he was almost gone, his eyes droopy and arm heavy, not pulling away as quickly as it probably would had he not been tired and sick.
Jun stared at him as Sho tried to wake himself back up, patting both of his cheeks next and shifting his weight to get off of the couch, and Jun stopped him with a gentle touch to his bicep. Even if they weren’t having sex he wanted to take care of this man that he had come to adore so much and it was probably a bad time for pushing his own feelings on him anyway.
“You can stay over if you want. You’ll get more sleep if you don’t have to go home,” Jun suggested, even though he knew that Sho would insist on taking the couch instead of sharing his small bed with him, always polite even though they were closer than probably brothers would be. “And I’ll make you some hot soup in the morning before you have to go.”
“You’re too good to me,” Sho replied sleepily, immediately melting in Jun’s hands, and it must have been pretty bad, the man pushing himself not only to come over to Jun’s house when he wasn’t feeling well but also making sure he kept up on the news for his job and take care of all of his other responsibilities (but the fact that he cared so much about everyone and his career was part of the reason that Jun liked him to the extent he did) because his eyes closed immediately and he collapsed against Jun’s shoulder.
And he was silent after that. Both of them were, Jun torn between wanting Sho to fall asleep on him so he would have an excuse as to why they were so close in the morning, and knowing that he needed a good blanket so that he could recover properly and get back to work in the morning.
So, despite his wishes, Jun started to lay him out on the couch, then changed his mind at the last minute and helped Sho to his bed (he was mostly asleep, but managed to stand up when urged, and in that position he was easy to direct) because it would be more comfortable there and he was sick after all.
Entirely passive against Jun’s hands, Sho was stripped of the nice clothes he had worn over, completely non-sexually because Jun was not Nino who jumped at any chance he could find, and he found a pair of pajamas with a neutral print on them, his own personal pair but he was almost the same size as Sho, just a little taller, so he thought it didn’t really matter. They were both changed in minutes, Jun tucking his friend in tightly and adjusting his hair to check his temperature before putting an aspirin and glass of water next to the bed just in case he woke up in the middle of the night, then pulled out his extra blanket and began making his bed on the couch.
Because although he would like to take advantage of snuggling with Sho, it would be harder to explain in the morning and Sho always insisted that they never sleep next to each other anyway (because of his bad habits of moving around while unconscious) so it was only polite of Jun to respect his wishes, although he was pretty sure he would like Sho rubbing against him all throughout the night, even if he didn’t get much sleep because of it.
After changing into his own pajamas, using his computer for a little while and double checking his ingredients for making miso soup in the morning, Jun had adjusted himself on the lumpy couch and then had just fallen into a fitful sleep (he hated not being in his own bed) when he was woken up again.
At first he thought it was just random electronic noise, like the buzzing of the microwave being plugged in or the ticking of the clock on the wall, but it had alerted him enough that after a minute he realized it was coming from Sho.
But Sho was a strange sleeper after all, so he was probably just moving around a little and would get settled in a second, so Jun closed his eyes again and tried to relax, but when there was a slight moaning sound, he sat up, remembering that Sho was sick and might need some help getting his medicine.
He continued to listen and when he finally was convinced that some assistance was needed several minutes later, he pulled himself out of his warm nest of blankets and padded over to the bed in the corner.
It seemed pretty bad. Sho was panting and tossing his head a little, and when Jun checked he had a fever and his eyebrows were so drawn together that Jun was feeling sorry for him by just looking at him under the slim light from the street lamps.
“Sho?” he asked quietly, shaking him a little on the shoulder. If he took something he might feel recovered enough to get some rest.
It didn’t work immediately, though, so he shook him a little harder and repeated his name again.
“Jun,” he finally replied in a hoarse voice, unable to open his eyes as his head tossed around some more, but he had vocally responded, so Jun could only assume that he was awake, even if it was only a little.
Almost ready to coax him into sitting up, Jun froze when Sho immediately continued, “Smells like Jun,” in a sleepy, unaware voice.
“Huh?” His mouth had fallen open when he realized what Sho was saying.
And then out of nowhere an arm was around his neck and Jun was pulled down onto the bed and they were kissing, Sho’s lips hot and insistent, and breath… quite bad.
But Jun didn’t mind because Sho was kissing him, even if he was half asleep, even if he was sick, even if he was joking, he didn’t care because this was momentous.
He responded-just a little because even though he wasn’t Nino who would have torn Sho’s clothes off already, he wasn’t exactly immune-feeling Sho’s plump bottom lip with his tongue, taken halfway into his mouth, and he got goosebumps when another tongue followed it inside.
That was really as far as Jun would let it go, though, because (he reminded himself) Sho was sick and needed some sleep and couldn’t really be relied on to make conscious decisions for himself in this situation. But when he tried to pull away and push himself off the bed, instead he was tugged back down and tangled in the blankets as Sho flipped him onto his back, his hands attaching to the first area of bare skin they found, one under his pajama top and the other sliding up his neck.
“Sho-“ Jun gasped, pressing his hands into the man that was now climbing on top of him, trying to stop him from coming any further and attaching their lips again-but unfortunately that meant that Sho’s fingers were able to start undoing buttons while Jun was occupied. “Sho, wake up,” he tried again, his words coming out a little uneven.
“I am awake,” came back, a little hoarsely, like he was sick after all or at least enough that it was obvious he had been sleeping, but Jun’s heart beat shot up, first with the quick response and second, with the implication that this wasn’t just Sho being weird in his sleep. And of course with that, his hold weakened and they kissed again.
Sho’s breath still reeked, but Jun didn’t hold back this time, circling his tongue around Sho’s clumsy one, but because it was Sho, electric shocks were shooting down his spine, making his bottom half a little jumpy despite the lack of polished technique that was returned.
When they pulled away, Jun was surprised to find that his pajama pants were already being pulled away (awkwardly because of the blankets surrounding them), even though they had barely been kissing, but he didn’t care because anticipation was pumping through him like blood and Sho was touching him just like the others and the deodorant worked.
He couldn’t really restrain himself from caring, though, so he mumbled, “Sho, you’re sick,” even though he didn’t want them to stop, even if he got sick himself.
“Yeah, thanks for taking care of me,” he returned sincerely instead of an answer to Jun’s concern, and haphazardly placed a kiss at Jun’s neck. It was more nose than mouth, but it was still nice and sort of almost took Jun’s breath away.
“Are you sure this is okay?” Jun gasped out as the touches went past his collar bone, Sho somewhat disappearing under the blanket and most of his clothes were gone now, but the response was just as disjoint as before.
“And offering to make soup in the morning… you’re so sweet.”
He could feel Sho’s breath passing between his nipples where his shirt had been left undone. Oh fuck he wanted his nipples touched right now.
But there were passed right by and now Sho was stroking the outside of his thigh, which was also nice but…
“And putting me in your bed…” he somehow continued and Jun was kind of thinking they could do without this commentary, except that Sho’s voice, which was pretty grainy right now, was sexy and doing things for Jun, so he didn’t interrupt him.
Then the hand went straight from close to his ass to right between his legs and Jun jumped in surprise, not expecting that to happen so quickly, but he was really hard now and at least Sho was showing signs of finishing this completely.
“I started having dreams about you, though, what with being in your bed and smelling you and spending time with you tonight,” he finished, and even though Jun thought that was quite sweet, the explanation was now taking away from sex and it could easily be shared after they were done, during snuggle time.
“It’s fine-“ he breathed back, and since he could barely see Sho in the dark, found the bed messed hair with his hand for something to grip on to, “I want to do this, just-FUCK! Lube, Sho!”
“Where is it?” he replied nonchalantly, as if he hadn’t just made the biggest mistake ever of gay sex.
“Just-“ Jun let out a slightly annoyed sigh, “Let me do it.”
And he did. Reached over and pulled it out of the dresser and pushed the blankets out of the way and stuck his own fingers up to ass to prepare himself because even though he was very excited that this was Sho, he was not a woman, and it would not help to make having sex with him any easier.
They could work out the details later, but right now he wanted to be fucking as quickly as possible and even if this was slightly embarrassing for both of them (Sho would realize it in the morning), Jun would do it, despite barely being given enough time to finish until he was pushed back on the bed and a cock was next to his fingers.
“Sho,” he started to say, but bit his lip instead, letting Sho do what he wanted to because he was taking control again and Jun liked that, and so he regulated his breathing consciously and squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for his body to get used to it.
But Sho let out a gasp and then longer groan and it was sexy like it was supposed to be, his hands running over Jun’s face, smoothing out his eyebrows and touching his lips and he waited instead of thrusting right away and Jun was happy he was at least that perceptive right now.
“Jun-kun…”
“Sho… touch my nipples,” he pleaded under his breath, knowing that would make him hot again.
There was a little bit of shifting so that he could reach them, but he did, gently at first until Jun growled harder, until they were pert, until they ached and made Jun’s body ignite once more.
And then Sho awkwardly thrust for the first time, and it wasn’t the perfect length or aim like Aiba, but it was Sho and that fact was enough. Jun raised his hips a little and wrapped his arms around his shoulders and kissed him again.
Sho’s noises, moans and mumblings and gasps, were what really put Jun over the edge, that and the knowledge that this was the person he had been craving like ice cream on a hot day for a full month now, not to mention all the time before that, and that he wasn’t asleep and that Sho had been thinking about him too and…
“Ah-I love you, Sho,” he let out when he was close, when his body was aching from the exertion and his face was flushed. “I’ve wanted you so-“
“I love you too, Jun,” he replied, out of breath, and then wrapped his fist around his throbbing cock and Jun came with those words in his ears, implanted deep in his skull.
When they were done, Sho fell back asleep immediately, almost as if it had only been a waking dream.
But that was fine because sex took a lot of effort and Sho was sick (Jun hoped he wouldn’t become sick too) and so he wasn’t to blame. Plus, Jun was surprisingly satisfied despite Aiba being much (much) better, but that was mostly because Sho was Sho and they had time to work on technique later.
He went to the bathroom and cleaned up-brushing his teeth again and setting another brush out for Sho in the morning, and putting on more deodorant just in case that was really the reason why this had happened. And then forced his way back into his own bed to cuddle with Sho.
Of course that was a bad idea. It lasted for roughly five minutes before Sho let out a loud snore and rolled over in a weird way, and Jun let him until he settled, then trying to wrap himself around him again, but it was no use. Another five minutes later Sho adjusted his position again, this time curling in on himself, and Jun was eventually tired enough to stop changing with his bed partner.
So he just took a deep breath and snuggled under the blanket to wait for morning and what would happen.
+++
Jun woke up to some gentle caresses under his chin, but it turned out that they were from Sho’s toes and he shot back as soon as he realized it.
With crossed eyes, he stared at them, then slowly lifted the blanket up to double check that Sho was indeed completely turned around and half on top of him as he continued to sleep.
And he was, but with the light coming in through the window, Jun could make out a nice view of the naked ass he had missed last night (he wasn’t been sure when the clothes had been lost, and it might easily have been after they were done), and everything hanging out up front too thanks to the strange position. As a nice wakeup call, Jun started sliding his hand down the inner part of his left leg, towards his thighs, but Sho’s body twitched and he got kicked in the face instead.
“Goddamn it!” he cursed louder than necessary and pushed his way out of bed, a little pissed. “Sakurai Sho, you fail at life!” Jun continued in an almost yell and then stormed to the bathroom to pout at the lack of romance he had been faced with in his most recent relationship. The other three had gone quite easily, but he was struggling a little with Sho. He must have been spoiled by the smoothness of the other Arashi members.
Looking at himself in the mirror, though, he calmed down quickly, the hot temper replaced with hot memories of their night together.
Being Jun who knew a lot about his band mates in general, not to specify Sho in particular, it was obvious to him that when Sho regained consciousness and remembered, that he would be deadly embarrassed at the fact that he hadn’t performed well, that they had even started anything in the first place, and that Jun had taken such good care of him the entire night while being so badly treated in turn. But after that they would be a little awkward and maybe couple-y and when they got to the studio later Nino would make fun of them but be happy underneath.
And it all happened just as predicted, except that Sho couldn’t even look Jun straight in the eye (or stop smiling either) and although Nino did make fun of them, he also forced Ohno and Aiba to help.

A/N: Okay, this was pretty fun to write too. I know I've been building up to this chapter and that maybe fail!Sho wasn't as satisfying as something really sexy, but I couldn't stop myself. ^_^ I wasn't sure if I was going to write the fifth part or not, but it's about halfway done now, so I'll be posting that in a week or so. I'm also working on the other fundraiser prompts, but I'm afraid it's taking much longer than I was hoping it would...
Anyway, I hope everyone out there is doing fine. Although there are still aftershocks, I can't complain about anything in Japan at the moment.
If you have any criticism I'll always accept it, and I love some comments too.
