She doesn't think about it. She wakes up from the nightmare still afraid, and activates the PINpoint to take her somewhere she feels safe.
Normally Aya has no problem using PINpoints, but normally she is not trying to PINpoint while half-asleep. She tumbles into the Nexus, falling inches away from the not-so convenient couch that would have softened her fall.
“Omph!”
Aya blinks owlishly as it slowly makes it through her sleep-addled brain that, yes, she is in the middle of the Nexus.
“Um...” She pushes herself up on to the couch. “What makes you feel safe? Or, alternatively, what scares you?”
