Now that she's been here for a while, she's talked to a few people- transformers from other realities, mostly counterparts of ones she knows, humans, powered and not, a huge technorganic blob and a Gargoyle who both used to be human ( Read more... )

"Because they're frag-brained slorgbaits." Mornbein has left the baby somewhere safe today and gone to get a bit of exercise.

No, you don't want to know why she's so charred looking around the edges, or what the blue stuff she's soaked in is. And yes, she can use that gun, even though it's nearly as big as she is.

"That's one way to put it," Ata replies.

Now that's an unusual state to be in, and how is she able to carry that?

Toothy grin that's just a little too pointy to be human, and a little to wide to be fully sane. "I kin put it other ways. Some might corrode yer circuits, though."

Asking how and why around Mornbein only tends to confuse and invoke headaches. >_>

The ten foot tall massive green 'human' crosses his arms over that massive chest and smirks slightly. "Survival instinct probably. Leftover genetic instincts from our ancient ancestors."

"Yeah. Not the ideal responce but..." He shrugs slightly. "Can only do what we can to alleviate their fears."

"'Cause we're 'fraid of bein' squashed." Pause. "'Least I am. But that's a secret."

Good thing she won't squash her, right? "Hopefully it's not making you hurt anyone because of it."

Hands on her hips. A smile. "D' I look like I could hurt a fly? I'd not wanna, anyways. 'Sides, it's rude t' let folks know that you're a bit scared of 'em."

"Fear reflex. As a species, they're aware they can only survive as long as they eliminate everything better adapted than them."

She can't help but notice Alice didn't refer to herself as human. "Doesn't mean they should. Could at least try to coexist."

"They could." Someone is vaguely annoyed, possibly by a conversation of her own.

She probably could guess why. A sigh. "What's been going on with you?"

Elisa's certainly qualified to take a stab at this question, given that she was human before she became the different.

"Frankly, I've decided that some of it's because humans are the low being on the totem pole. No wings, no claws, pretty meager senses... Just about anything different out there is probably stronger or faster, or just more dangerous to their eyes. A lot of people can't feel safe after they've been made to realize that."

Pretty convenient, isn't it? Ata even had a taste of being human due to a el-oh-el.

"And, of course, they start to hate 'em. Even if it's another, evolved type of human."

"Yeah. My friend Jubilee's from a world where that's a big problem."

"Yeah? I met a teenage girl who ran into the same scrap in her 'verse."
