I went on a shopping spree today. At Lowes. Yep, spent what I probably should have used for dress clothes for work and instead bought a Narcissus (PaperWhites) bulb kit AND . . . and orchid!! So things are taking a turn for the better in Lubbock. I finally feel like I'm finding my niche here. I'm finally figuring out who's who in the studio. Some of the younger players are actually coming to me for advice now, and I'm finding I actually have something helpful to offer. So far so good. I have a ridiculously easy schedule. Full load for a grad student here is 9 hours. I am taking a full load, but the majority of those nine hours are taken up by orchestra (oh yeah!
