This is what happens when you have Mari stuck at home all day

Fun Fact: Every single time Tsuzuki and Muraki appear together during the opening credits of YnM, there is a very peculiar sort of wind that is blowing both of their trenchcoats in opposite directions. Strange weather they've got there in Japan, innit?

(Also: I would never have picked up on the weird dualism of Muraki being dressed in white as ( Read more... )

The wind is metaphorical symbolism crap DON'T YOU SEE??!! ^_~ Yeah, strange weather there, but I think it's supposed to symbolize how they are so opposite that they are just drawn towards each other like a more polarized yin-yang symbol. They just naturally will be enemies ( ... )

Luna, I love you and your sense of symbolism. xD You seem to be able to see the meaning in the most minor things. It's awesome ( ... )

Aww, thanks! *blush* I've always liked reading things into stuff. Reading Tarot cards really honed this, I think ( ... )

I like reading into things too, but I have the feeling I like to read into slightly different things. Symbolism tends to fly right over my head, probably because I have years of dissecting the ways facts are ignored in fanfiction under my belt. did wonder where on earth Tsuzuki learned his mad ballroom dancing skillz. Come to think of it, I've usually pictured Tsuzuki's childhood as being spent in a port city, as the child of parents that were at least comparatively well-off (In the Kyoto arc he talks about having read things in the newspapers. I don't know what the rates of literacy were back in the Meiji era, but I think my subconscious made the assumption that he would have had to have not been dirt poor, anyway).

Irony, anyone? I'm sure Muraki hated his mother's guts, and yet if we go by this he wound up basing his entire wardrobe around her.

But- but- but that's not fair! I'll bet he hasn't even had to call a plumber in years, that son of a bitch! D< I don't care if he's got more magical skills than the entire Harry Potter ( ... )

Travis, I love how you apparently read that ENTIRE ENTRY which was 99% about things you aren't interested in (that I know of) and got down to the thing about Fruba. xDDD

|D There's a select group of maybe 10 people whose entries I will read all the way through every time I see them. Everyone else, I glance at the first sentence/paragraph/subject line and if it doesn't interest me I head right on past.
