I'm onto you, Davidson; no zOMG TRUUU aWRen fangurrl!!1! would use "to whom". That's OMGLOL WTF GRAMMARR! WhtEVA LOLOL!!11!1!

But seriously, commiserations. What bugs me is that they will stop you for something piddling like the stop sign that no one knows about, and then you see people driving in patently unsafe manners and getting away with it.

Ok, I now need a journal rant about this very topic...

I loved the rant. My favorite is when I see the cops themselves make turns without signaling, a violation so routine around here they don't even bother to pull you over for it anymore.

Probably because they, like every other driver I see, are on their bleepity-bleeping cell phones, or walkie-talkies, or laptops, or what-have-you. Non-signalling drivers are another peeve of mine. I can't adjust for other people's bad driving if I don't even know which way they're trying to go.

I sympathize, since as you know, Eric always gets tickets for burnt-out lights, something no one else in existence that I know tends to get. Your illustration of the incident was quite amusing, however.

She apparently didn't notice my non-functioning brake lights, thanks be, unless the one in the middle is enough since it's the only one that works.

I must admit a sort of love/hate relationship with cops myself, primarily because of how inconsistenly some traffic laws are enforced (like in your recent experience).

I'll have to tell the story of when one of my friends was pulled over in her own driveway, but maybe later, after you feel a bit better.

In her driveway? Oh, do share. There's nothing an outraged ego likes better than to hear further anecdotal evidence justifying one's opinion. :)

Sorry about the frustration, but I love the cartoon!

A girlfriend and I got stopped in NM once, on our way to meet our husbands at Elephant Butte Lake. After talking to us and some discussion with his female partner, the male officer returned and said they were giving me a warning, and that I was lucky because his partner never gave warnings! I've been blessed in the warning department, but every time I've had an accident, I also got the ticket. Except for the hit-and-run that wasn't my fault.
