2023 Video Games
Numerically, it looks like I only finished one fewer game than I did in 2022, but there were a lot more shorter games and the inclusion of some DLC in the list. The year was consumed with reading, plus the renewed playing of WoW took some time as well (though not nearly as much as one might think given how I used to play). Books 2023
This was the biggest year for reading I've ever had as long as I've been recording it. It's not out of the question that I possibly had a year with more books as a kid, but it doesn't seem likely. I completed 133 books and read a significant chunk of another 4 before quitting because they were stupid and/or boring.

Mom car wreck
Yesterday my mom was hit while driving Bea home from school. Bea is okay physically, though quite traumatized. My mom was seriously injured. Any prayers or positive thoughts her way are appreciated. I'll be keeping things updated at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ -

Kindle woes
The kids' Kindle has gone out again, thankfully while still within the warranty period. Given that this is the second time we've had problems and it seems likely to be battery related given the symptoms of freezing while claiming to be fully charged (previous one just flat out wouldn't charge after a few months, so a similar kind of thing), I ( Read more... ) -
The prayer of a ten year old boy.
Tonight, right before Enoch began saying his prayer, he let out a loud belch. He and Bea rolled on the ground laughing over it until I chased her to bed and got him to calm down enough to say his prayer.
