Oh my god, Migraines suck! I had one yesterday that wasn't too bad until the night time, when it got really bad. (thats usually how they are, they longer all day and then get really bad at night) I usually don't get migraines unless I have a lot of emotional stuff going on, especially stuff I am suppressing. I did, but I don't want to talk about ( Read more... )

I'm sorry =\ I've been getting a lot of intense migraines the past year and a half or so (I had one yesterday as well. it was so bad it made me cry.). I'm thinking about getting acupuncture to see if it will help ease the severity of the migraines.

Next time you get one try taking a hot shower. For me, doing so numbs the pain and helps my head relax. Also, ice packs help a lot. Last night I tried smoking weed to help with the pain and it worked wonderfully!! I'm not that in to smoking pot but when I have a migraine I'll do anything to stop the pain.

So yeah, I feel your pain!

Firstly, I'm totally jealous of your lucid dreams. Secondly, I'm signed up for a Vipassana meditation course staring march 18th, at the northwest vipassana center. Any advice?

Wow, crazy that you would sign up for that one, I'm serving that course. I'm not totally sure how long I'll be there, probably just for the beginning, but I'll probably see you there.

Hmm... as for advice... I'm not sure what I would have wanted to hear before going. Its a really intense experience, but you are bound to learn a lot from it whether it is good or bad.

That IS crazy! Am I allowed to wave at you if I see you? Or can I not make eye contact with you either? Seriously, seriously awesome. And the course coincides EXACTLY with my spring break... like, my last final is the day it starts, and it ends the day before classes.

I do actually have two questions for you, but they're kinda just practical ones... First off, the website kinda leads you to believe that there's no heating in the building(s). Is that true? Cause it'll influence what clothes I bring. Secondly, I've had some neck/back problems lately, which I'm hoping to have worked out by the time I get there, but I've heard some reports about crazy unbearable pain accompanying the long hours. Did you find that was the case in your experience?

Yeah, this one is exactly during my spring break, too, and I wanted a little Vipassana pick me up, so i decided to serve for a few days. When you serve, you still meditate 3-4 hours a day, and it'll be nice to be there again, serving and being around the energy, which is quite powerful ( ... )

If I see you before the silence begins, I'll come say hi, but after silence starts it is pretty important not to communicate at all (even via eye contact) Just remember that I'll be sending you lots of love through the food! Man... I liked the food there. Only 2 meals a day, so you end up eating pretty light, but the food was pretty good ( ... )
