The thing about life is you are supposed to do what is needed no matter what. If you're physically and mentally sick you still have to do what's needed ( Read more... )

"You can dress up a monkey in fancy clothes, but the fact is, he's still a monkey, and he will still throw poop. You can dress up a man in fancy clothes, but the fact is, he's still a man, and he will still shit when he dies." -me (Is it acceptable to quote oneself? Oh, well. I don't really care atm. :-P)

We're all animals, y'know. IMHO, it's not really worth feeling proud or ashamed of anything that we do or don't do.

Then again, I'm in a kind of pissy mood today. *shrugs*

Hope you feel better soon, regardless.

I know that what she is doing is difficult. My point was that I don't think we should take ourselves so seriously, but if it came across as unsympathetic, or even as rubbing salt in the wounds, then I apologize. That was not my intention.

No, it wasen't your intention. Your intention was to make your opinion known. When someone is wondering if something is or isn't worth being proud of, stepping in and saying that you don't believe in pride sure as hell isn't going to help anything.

Of course you should be proud of every little 'forward' leaning thing you accomplish, no matter how small. Don't judge these things against each other and only count the big ones; once upon a time your life depended upon taking a single breath, and someday it will again.

Hola bonita senorita Michelle, mi grande PROUD del su. This spanish is incrediably bad. I write in Japlish. life are hard. Buddha said that. You are courageous in de face of unsurmountable hardships...You are a ROCK...(you gotta tell yourself this and it starts to rub off) Long after all the bastards die from Heart diaease or suicide...YOU will be there...watching as they are loweredinto the grave. I was thinking resently about Chris Peterson..Chris is not a loser, but he beleves he is because he let some asshole in school (a coach) tell him it was trueand he believed him. Chris has not a lot of cofidence about himself so....he deosn't attempt anything he might fail at...in fact he does a whole lot of nothing kinda like me. I was thinking that if Chris had the balls to actually DO something, he would soon realize....everything is incrediably HARD. i remember crying one night in art school because it was SO HARD. Chris never attempts anything that might be hard (like a job) so he never has to be confronted with the idea he might fail ( ... )

!!! WONDERFUL IDEAR!! Michelle sweetie, what pills did they temporarily put you on?? I have a few things around here, some left over from med switches, some from this spring when I got all preggers and so had to stop taking them.
I want to know what you were on so I can give you whichever may be closest, I'm not about to just send a bunch of random pills in the mail.

Have you ever thought about writing music Michelle? What you've written here concisely depicts the sort of misery that, I'm assuming, a large part of the population feels. Thats what lyricists and good writers do. Thats the sort of the things that made Hemingway and Orwell renowned.
