Here's a vid I made for melyanna's birthday. It's a trailer for one of my all-time favorite fanfics, The Crossroads of Eshu, which tells the story of Sam getting sucked into an Alternate Reality after a lab experiment goes differently than expected. (For the record, this fanfic was written some years before the recent SG-1 episode "The Road Not Taken

I haven't read that fic, but the trailer alone makes me wanna read it...

I've made a couple fanfic trailers myself and I know how hard it can be to find the correct scenes to make the fic's plot seem believable! (but yeah, they're still really fun to make!)
From what I read in the summary, your selection matched very nicely... so, great job! =D

And I love that song, by the way! (love 'A Beautiful Mind'!)

I love the music too, and the movie, though I've only actually sat all the way through it a couple of times. I loved it for this because the movie is about a brainiac. Having Sam technobabble, therefore, was just fitting on so many levels.

I certainly hope you're inspired enough to leave feedback akin to what you left for LCS, because that was just thrilling for me.

A very wise man once said, if you should be eating a cherry pie and come across a pit, it doesn't mean you should throw out the whole pie. Consider Sparky to be a mere pit in a greater awesome fic. And my goodness, it isn't that unendurable, believe me. ;-)

That was absolutely incredible. I loved Sam's voiceover at the beginning, and by the time we had Daniel's (it was Daniel, right?!) at the end, I had shivers down my spine. I *have* to go find that piece of music now, and go and re-read Crossroads.

I was lucky enough to see it in London about a week before Idina left, and I'm hopefully going to see it again with Kerry Ellis in it at Easter. Listening to the soundtrack right now - Best. Thing. Ever.

That is so beautiful! I couldn't really tell what it was about, but then, I've seen very little SG-1. Like, the pilot. ;)

What are the odds I can get a video for MY birthday? ;) Though I guess I don't have any fanfic that could really be turned into a vid. Maybe just a Samwise Gamgee lovefest. ;)

Hmmn. I'd have to think about that one. Don't know that anything's ever jumped out at me as a Samwise song... but we'll see. ;-)
