I had a very busy weekend and I'm launching off now into a very busy week. I have a lot of your entries and PMs I want to catch up on for LJ. There are just not enough hours in the day, even when you get an extra one ( Read more... )

I was wondering if you'd been feeling a little odd about not doing NaNo this year. But it's not like you're not writing.

Good luck with the cable company. I'm glad I know now that Hulu isn't showing any others-- I still actually haven't watched the end of the first episode, because I was trying to cram it in last-minute before the next episode came on Friday night, and of course my dad chose that particular time to shut the internet completely off while working on hooking up the new computer he just got. So I lost about 15 minutes in which I could have finished it. (I thought just Hulu had crashed at first and was checking my IM list to see if you were on so I could ask you what had happened, and then I realized that the entire internet was down. And then the next episode started, so I had to just stop watching it anyway.) But now if I miss any other Friday nights, I know to try to get it DVR'd.

Yeah. Considering Nano is, at heart, meant to be a motivational tool for those trying to launch a writing habit, I think I've outgrown it.

In the sense that it's a positive, exciting (and productive!) tradition, I don't think any my writing circle will ever do so. ;-)

Ah, cable. Something I could completely live without, but alas, I haz husband, so I haz cable. And with that comes faster internet, so it's not all bad. But seriously, I've said for years that I would cancel it faster than an actual rabbit on crack if M would let me, and I have recently tested that theory out. Haven't had it for about six weeks and haven't missed it. Hulu and the networks are my friend. Most shows are online within 6 hours of airing (working nights, I know this).

That said, the exceptions are brutal. I'm way behind on Sanctuary, and I would miss Leverage for sure if I didn't have cable by then. I think. But it would show up online eventually, so...who knows? ;)

Yeah, Hulu and other means of acquisition were serving us pretty reliably, but now that my brother is living with us, his Netflix (and/or online gaming) and my Hulu don't play well together.

Plus, since I'm pretty much over my vidding phase, I don't really feel the need to pursue 'other means of acquisition' anymore and would rather be a good citizen and watch things properly.

I've never had cable in my life. It's a big step.

I understand everything in this comment on a high level.

Living with boys will do that.
