Have you looked into getting Microsoft Word on the iPad? Maybe that might make it more worth it?

The thing with not being able to read .docs in iBooks is really odd. I've downloaded some from the internet and they went to iBooks by default. Hmm. Will look into that.

As far as ebooks go, I'll reiterate that it is great for public domain books. ;)

I hear ya. I use, oh, four apps on my iPhone? Granted, I use the hell out of those four apps, but yeah. It doesn't get the use it's "supposed" to. I mean, it's a phone, right? Um...not really.
