Look, I don't know what this post is. It's DEFINITELY not me getting into a new fandom, because I've done the bandom ride and I'm OK with moving on to other pastures.

What this post also is a NOT is me trying to pretend I'm discovering a whole new thing here, when there were already 50 fics in Italian on AO3 for this band before they won Eurovision

LOOOOL this is marvellous. I really recognise in them the heritage of great Italian rock stars, among them Gianna Nannini, my idol of all times. I have lived so many years in Italy and worked among many other things also in the concert organising business, and there are so many young bands trying to come up with such a style but nowadays, there really aren't any, and it is so great to see a group emerge from this wich such a mixture of freshness and talent and show attutude. I am so curious to see how they will be holding up to the pressure of this great success, I hope so much they'll continue healthy and happy!

Heeee thank you for providing this context! I've watched some of their vlogs and documentary style things from their early tours, at least it does look like they've been touring all across europe for years, so they've Been Through Some Stuff and feels like they're pretty well prepared for the success? I really hope Eurovision is just one round of this for them, and the next round will be somehow breaking into the North American market as well, because they absolutely deserve it.
