A small convoy of vehicles traveled down an industrial road in Singapore. The windows were tinted black and they rolled through several stoplights. He slipped in through the hidden passage she'd shown him and took a seat on the sofa under a window to wait.

The silver-haired mercenary rolled her shoulders as she headed for her room. She had been taking more solo assignments recently, and so far it was agreeing with her. Except that she seemed a little lax in being prepared in her own room.
She hadn't expected anyone dropping by for a visit. John Preston especially after he had been purposefully distancing himself from her. She frowned a little as she closed the door behind her. Her mind hadn't quite clicked off of business mode.
"Did you need something, Preston?"

He managed, just barely, not to sigh. And, had no idea what to say.
"I wanted to... apologize. Talk. Unless you'd rather I left?"

Silver hesitated before removing her hooded jacket. She draped it over a nearby chair before making her way over to sit beside John. She attempted to keep her poise. Which was easier said then done. Though she did have the clarity of mind to not start off sitting in his lap.

He could very much have sounded frightened. If, by frightened, one meant "excited and eager".

Silver would take excited and eager as a good substitute for frightened from John. He was her lover, not her nemesis. She did much more pleasurable things with the former instead of the latter.

"John," she tried carefully. "Promise me you'll listen all the way through what I'm about to say before saying anything..."

He pushed his hips up against her. The more skin he could get next to her, the better. His hands slid down her back and rested comfortably on two of his very favorite hand holds.

Once her hands got to his hips, she started back up. Her fingers pressed somewhat harder and kneaded a little on their journey up.

Then he let go and laid back, content to let her decide how the moment would go.
