Title: No Need for Dalia
Summary: Watch, as I suck!
Fandom: Tenchi Muyo
Word Count: 549
Rating/Warnings: G, AU, incredibly OOC characters
Pairing: I think eventually it was supposed to be Tenchi/Dalia and Ryoko/Aeka
A/N: Dalia Chanslor was my constantly-changing Rhy'Din RP character for... as long as I was on there, so I guess about 4 years. She was a waifish, slutty Sue with no actual personality outside my own. She was half-vampire shapeshifting feline minstrel who whored about a lot and stole ideas unabashedly from other players (killitw/fireplz). Thankfully, in this story, she was just a normal human. I can't remember how she ended up at the Masaki house, but I think she was going to end up having fallen through the TV. The writing is... well. Boring. Really fucking boring. Insanely fucking boring. It just reminds me how much I still suck at dialogue. Everyone is terribly OOC, except Ayeka (who's only mildly OOC, probably because she was my favorite). Yeah. It kind of makes me feel good about how far I've come in 5 years though.

Episode 1
An Average Morning

“Mihoshi? Mihoshi!”

Thus was Kiyone’s rude awakening one lazy summer morning. Soon, Aeka’s head appeared in Kiyone’s doorway.

“Mihoshi? Miho- Oh, good morning, Kiyone,” said Aeka as she pooped in.

“Ughh… good morning, Miss Aeka,” replied Kiyone, although she was already in no mood for formalities.

“I hope I haven’t disturbed you-“

“No, it’s quite alright.”

As Aeka left, Kiyone reluctantly arose and started dressing.

Meanwhile, Sasami was in the kitchen, busily working on breakfast when Ryoko walked in.

“Oooh, smells good Sasami!” she commented.

“I hope it turns out well… It’s a new dish Washu thought up,” Sasami said.

“Well, let’s hope that genius of hers works in the kitchen,” she replied.

“Mihoshi! Have either of you seen Mihoshi?” asked Aeka, continuing her search.

“Probably off somewhere with Tenchi,” Ryoko taunted.

“How dare you speak about Lord Tenchi that way!” Aeka scolded.

Tenchi, displaying his wonderful sense of timing, chose this moment to enter the kitchen.

“Ahh, morning everybody,” said Tenchi, stretching.

Ryoko was on him in an instant. “Oh Tenchi, I hope I didn’t wear you out last night!” she cooed.

“WHAAA?” screamed Aeka and Tenchi in unison.

“Are you crazy!” he demanded.

“Really, Ryoko, I’ve had enough of your lies!” shouted Aeka.

A certain battle was averted by a voice from outside.

“Aeka, Ryoko, Tenchi, I’m back! Everybody come quick!” called Mihoshi.

Everyone quickly heeded Mihoshi’s call. There she stood, but she wasn’t alone.

Episode 2

Enter Dalia

The slender black haired girl at Mihoshi’s side bowed politely.

“Isn’t she nice?! I found her hanging around in the woods, and well, I couldn’t leave her out there!” gushed Mihoshi.

“Does she have a name?” giggled Sasami.

“My name is Dalia,” she said.

“Well, you’re just in time for breakfast,” Sasami replied, leading everyone inside. Aeka’s anger suddenly flared when she saw a dazed Tenchi straying behind.

“Hmmph… Well if she thinks she can just come and have him, she’s got another thing coming!” she thought angrily as she walked inside.

***

Everyone was seated around the table eating breakfast.

“So, how did you end up around here?” Tenchi prompted.

“It’s really a funny thing,” Dalia replied. “I don’t remember.”

“Well, until you do, you’re welcome to stay with us,” offered Grandfather.

“I don’t know if that’s wise. She should go out to the woods and wait. Someone might be looking for her,” Aeka said coldly.

“What Princess, afraid of a little challenge?” Ryoko snapped.

“Ryoko, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Aeka insisted.

“Don’t tell me you don’t see how Tenchi looks at her!” Ryoko shouted. Tenchi turned red.

“Hey, now,” Tenchi warned. Only Dalia seemed unphased.

“Well it doesn’t matter! No fighting at the table!” Sasami yelled. Surprised by this sudden interjection, everyone quietly turned back to their food.

“Dalia will stay with us until we can find her a way back to - where are you from?” Grandfather asked.

“I’m not quite sure,” she said, seemingly in a daze.

“Well she can stay with us, at any rate,” he said with finality.

“Come on, I’ll show you my room!” said Sasami, leading Dalia away. Tenchi left to do his morning chores.

“We have to do something about her,” said Ryoko to Aeka.

“I agree,” she replied.
