1. So the bulletproof kinks meme has been going around again. I've been tumbling it around in my head, and this is what it keeps coming down to: my only bulletproof kinks are trust and love. my only bulletproof kinks are trust and love. Because everything else- the whips and the chains and the clothespins and the consent play and even most of the tentacles- hinges on that point. It's about using your body to express your love for and trust in another person; it's about trusting yourself to know your own limits; it's about having someone else invest their trust in you. Way to set the field of mental health back 100 years you vapid twit.

I've ranted on this many times before, but every time I see this whole "mental health has to do with your soul, not your physical health so therefor does not require medication" I just want to punch something.

(Jumping in just to say) YES! Love it. My mother always used the diabetic analogy with me growing up when people would get stupid about my illness, and I always found it really helpful as an analogy. "Invisible" illnesses are so hard to understand if you've never had them; all it takes, really, is a little extra time and research and listening, but most people are too lazy for that.
