Blake's 7: You need it in your life.

Blake's 7 is a classic example of how science fiction should be done. It was darker and edgier before darker and edgier was played out, it's gripping and funny and cruel in places, it still stands up as a series despite the fact that it was made for twelve dollars in the late seventies- it pretty much kicks ass, is what I'm trying to say

I've been seeing references to Blake's 7 for years, but...what's it about? I've never been able to figure that one.

There's a lot of backstory, but the gist of it is that Blake is the leader of a band of escaped prisoners who find an abandoned, super-advanced spaceship and become, somewhat reluctantly, freedom fighters. Travis and Servalan are the main villains in the first two series. It inspired a lot of other sci-fi, particularly Firefly.

Where are you watching Blake's 7? I was looking for it to watch and could not find. Netflix doesn't even have it!

That's because it's never been released on DVD in America! Which is just the biggest load of bullshit.

I torrented them, but there's also this guy on dailymotion who's got them all streaming at pretty decent quality (better than the ones I downloaded, tbh). Careful, though, because the episode playlists are listed in reverse order.
