Orientation is done.  Well, mostly.  Tomorrow is class registration and Friday is the reception / presentation.  Then classes start on Monday.  Basically orientation consisted of getting lectured about teaching strategies repeatedly and mixed up schedules.

Work-wise: 
Reducing hours of operation at the Urbana Carle so that I'm getting shipped back to the Champaign Carle starting tomorrow.  Banks do silly things with paychecks.  My bank says my paycheck deposited a-okay; my boss' bank says it'll bounce.  Hrrm.  Makes me wonder about my paycheck for tomorrow.

Scheduling issues continue to be the bane of my existence.  Latte Da needs my school schedule so they can hire people, but I need my TA appointment before I can register for my courses.  The new cafe at Carle opened on Monday... Shadow went to the vet this afternoon and ten minutes later she has an antibiotic ointment for her eye.  She also loves the laser pointer I bought her. 
I spent way too much money on shoes... Hehe. I own a pair of black and white plaid kicks and the black nubuck slips I saw months ago and wanted. So much for buying sandals.

Shadow (my kitty) has:  claimed the third and fourth stairs as her own; survived the dishwasher;  enjoyed waking up her owner at 6AM and giving her owner a heart attack each time she decides to play on the ledge with a 15ft drop.  She loves her Mousey and felt ball.  She has her first vet visit on Tuesday and hopefully they'll remove her sutures ( Read more... )
