wednesday we were at the grocery store and we noticed smoke coming out from under randy's car. we realized that someone had thrown a cigarette butt on top of the mulch-ish debris that piles up at the edges of curbs and it was smoldering. the wind was so strong that when we tried to kick it out flames flared up. so i ran inside and told the store ( Read more... )

i think it will probably be replacing all the missing quarter round trim around the baseboards. painting the ceilings will probably also be near the top of the list. we have lots of projects that we will have to prioritize due to time and money.

Did it frighten you? Did it cause you mental distress? Did you burn yourself? You know we can sue, right? :-P lol.

I heard about the fire warning around here, it was so dry the past few weeks they said, and the high winds didn't help.

(Yes, I'm very behind. Moving does that to you. :D) I think I've already mentioned that your house is super cute, but I had to say it again, because it's very super cute, hehe.

Thought for the bathroom -- you might want to have a tub door put in insted of doing the usual shower curtain and rod thing, since there's less chance of water getting on the floor that way.

Love the built in bookcase and shelving in the one room!
