Last night I read Nowhere to Stand and Now Nowhere to Hide by deathmallow, which I think you recced to me and it was excellent. Now I have to read the rest of the series!
deathmallow is just plain amazing. I'm not actually reading her current fic(s) right now because we think so much alike that there WILL be idea bleed from her fic to mine. I don't call her my brain twin for nothing. ;)
I'm kind of fond of this chapter (in spite of the pain), so I can't wait to hear what you think of it. *bites nails*
You're my braintwin, apparently kaitou_lili (parvissira on AO3) is my clone or my not-so-evil twin...yay THG fandom?
Awesome chapter as usual, and definitely nice to see the jabberjays from Finnick's perspective here since that was a critical moment in CF. Thumbs up for Haymitch antics, of course!
I can't wait for Catching Fire to come out, just so I can vid the jabberjay scene to Fallen Empires. I can see it playing out in my head now, without any footage from the movie, so it'll be a relief to get it out of there in a year or so. *whimper*
Now that I"ve actually read all three books ( I know I'm slow) I can go back and read your fanfic for this verse. I've wanted to for a while but didn't want to spoil myself. My iPad changed my not wanting to have "popular" books sit in my house. Now I have like...100 books I've yet to read but they don't clutter my house.
iPads, Kindles, Nooks, all wonderful inventions! And I now have the Kindle app on my new phone so I ALWAYS have something to read. :D
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think. Only two other fandoms have ever caught me like this one: Farscape and BSG. And this particular fic (Treading Water) is crazy long. I had no idea I could write something like this. :P
(In case you're wondering, my icon is my ideal Finnick and Annie - Armie Hammer and Mekenna Melvin.)
I knew that Finnick and Annie were your ship, so that was part of why I didn't read your stuff earlier because I'd only read or rather...heard... book one. I listen to a lot of audio books because it lasts longer that way. I mainline books if I read them and the audio forces me to sit through boring parts that i would skim otherwise
( ... )
I don't have as many THG fics as BSG, but I think my word count may be higher. :P
I still have James' autograph on that bar napkin! And wasn't that the same night we were outside the hotel talking with James, too, and some random guy joined in because we were all having so much fun? That whole thing was one of the best times I've ever had at a con.
