deathmallow is just plain amazing. I'm not actually reading her current fic(s) right now because we think so much alike that there WILL be idea bleed from her fic to mine. I don't call her my brain twin for nothing. ;)

Awesome chapter as usual, and definitely nice to see the jabberjays from Finnick's perspective here since that was a critical moment in CF. Thumbs up for Haymitch antics, of course!

I can't wait for Catching Fire to come out, just so I can vid the jabberjay scene to Fallen Empires. I can see it playing out in my head now, without any footage from the movie, so it'll be a relief to get it out of there in a year or so. *whimper*

Great chapter! Lots of stuff going on, with the Career attack, and the jabberjay scene. Funny how the deaths of Cashmere and Gloss takes on a whole deeper resonance, now that we've gotten to know them as people. (Even if they're not my favorite of the victors)

I like the way you added the details of just whose voices they were hearing, not just for Katniss, but for Finnick, since we know all his family now. And Rhys....

Looking forward to the next!

Seriously, I was going to go to bed at about Chapter 8, but I kept going back and reading more. I ended up reading all 13 chapters before I went to bed. Excellent story!
