I can't even believe I'm saying this, but... I think I'm going to sign up for
het_bigbang. The stories aren't due until late August. The word count minimum, if I want artwork (and OMG I WANT ARTWORK!!!!) is 25,000 words. *looks at monster* *looks at 7k fic written in 3 days* If I write Hunger Games, I really don't think 25k will be a problem. BUT

Finnick/Annie -- rewrite Mockingjay to give them a happy ending!
I would LOVE to see how you would tackle Haymitch/Effie and Katniss/Peeta post-Mockingjay.
I can't think of any real specific prompts. I'm just super-intrigued by anything that happens post-Mockingjay.
But I'm not sure I can support this undertaking if it prevents you from finishing Treading Water...... ;P

Ha! That one's already in the works and has to wait until Treading Water is finished. Plus, if TW is any indication, I'll need longer than a couple/three months to write it.
The big bang challenge will definitely not interfere with me finishing TW. My head might explode if I don't get the rest of it out. :P
If you can think of any Haymitch/Effie or Katniss/Peeta things you'd like to see, a scene or bit of conversation, or whatever, let me know. TW came about, in part, because I was wondering one day what was happening with Annie while Finnick was in the arena. O_O

as to prompts...
* how the Capitol views things. (this might be best done from Effie's POV, but maybe not)
* I've heard of fics (and ficlets) which tell of {Character}'s life after their Games, or after the War destroys/enslaves/others the Capitol... but what about a fic where the Capitol won the War?

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I typed the second one. two possibilities:
a) more curiosity than anything else, wondering if you'd ever heard of that being written.
b) the principle more than the bunny: take a commonly-handled event or theme (ie the Capitol loosing), and flip it on its head.

* The story of the general awesomeness that is Mags. For me Mags/Woof is kind of a friend/semi-OTP thing. I have her as the 8th Games winner and him as the 9th. It's an OTP that can never really be, though, since they're from different districts and thus will only ever see each other during the Games.
* Reverse the Finnick/Annie dynamic. He's the slightly cracked one but still they make him mentor because the Capitol loves him so much. This could make Annie's Games rather interesting.
