A lot. Poor Jason... But, I dunno, I think I detach from the scene a little, looking at it more objectively, more as a character study. I've read a whole lot worse than this, so maybe I've become a little numb to it, too. And this really is just the beginning of the hell that Jason went through...

Hey man, you don't have to be nervous; this is really well written. Not pretty, sure, but really interesting nonetheless.

Jason Todd is hands-down my favorite Robin, in part because of all the shit he must have done to survive before Bruce picked him off the streets. I'd like it if you wrote more along these lines, actually. :D

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm glad this came across as I intended - more of a character study. Jason has been my favorite Robin since I picked up the comics a few years ago, and yeah, his checkered past has a lot to do with that, too.

This was beautifully written. Dark and sad but very true. I'm glad you risked it and posted it. Some people only like happy fluffy bunny fic but things like this happen in the real world whether we want to face them or not, they could well have happened to Jason. You did a great job depicting a slice of his existence.

Thank you so much! I've been pondering ficlets of this sort for a while, exploring Jason's past. It's definitely not a pretty place, and this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Dark, but oddly not as sad as part of you feels it should be, I guess because he's not sad just coping with what his day to day life would be. This is an excellent look into Jason's life. Great work!~

Poor Jason. Very canon and makes me want to hug him even more. Out of all the Robins Jason needs the most love (and gets the least from DC, but that's a issue you don't want me ranting on)
