Messed up layout

My layout was totally fine till yesterday, then a white block appeared at the top and the bottom of my journal, like this. I tried to change the ad placement (vertical to horizontal), then I got these huge spaces between my entries. How can I make these white blocks and huge spaces between my entries disappear? I've already reset my ad placement to vertical, but nothing has changed.

I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!
