Hi there, Seems like whenever I try to change my layout I run into a problem. Probably because I don't know anything about CCS. Anyway...

I want to use this layout as a theme layer in my paid icon journal and tweek it, but when I "save & compile" I get error messages. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, I just don't know what ( Read more... )

Did you fix your problem already? I just copied your entire layer and got no compilation errors. What error message are you getting?

Sorry , I answered you in my icon journal. I deleted that entry.

Thanks for answering.

OK, I don't think it's saving it. Here is a link to the layout I'm trying to use in a theme layer. This layout. I'm trying to figure out what I need to add to it to get it to work.

Sorry for all the confusion.

I still am not getting any compilation errors. Again, exactly what errors are you getting? LJ should spit out an error in the "S2 Compiler Output" at the box in the bottom of the page.

The only thing I can think of is that you're adding this code to a user layer and not a theme layer, in which case the error message is rather straightforward.

In order to use the layout you're trying to use (Vintage pocket watch by mintyapple), you do not need to use a theme layer at all. Unless you're planning on doing some wild page-specific CSS (which, looking at your code, you're not), putting the CSS in the theme layer makes things unnecessarily complicated. You can just follow the installations mintyapple gives exactly and you'll be fine.

You're right. I'm just going to put it in the custom css box and be done with it. Thanks for answering. :)
