Random bar and date/subject issues?/SOLVED!

I've been trying to design my layout and everything is going pretty good except the date and subject are jutting out from either sides of the entry.
I also can't seem to remove the border.

What's more there is a strange (and annoying) box showing up on the tail end of the date, in gray with a thing

First make sure that all the drop-boxes above where you insert your css are set to "No". Does that help at all?
